Once again I think I bit off more than I could chew, but I'm glad it's finally finished! My narration is quite loud and sibilant through my IEMs, but elsewhere it sounds fine. Let me know what you think! I believe it's time I tried to make shorter, slightly different content for a while, until I've honed my video editing skills a bit more. But as for the long-term, expect longer, more grand Azerothian projects ahead!
You're in a market nearly no one else does well - exploration of the long forgotten quests that remind us of what it means for an RPG to be an RPG. Youve blown up because the content is good! The viewers are the evidence. I'll watch whatever you throw out, but don't be so tough on yourself, you're doing great, keep it up.
Personally I think your longer form videos, that take their time to explore the real details of each quest using the immersive game footage and music, is what sets the channel apart from other game and WoW content channels. Big fan of your longer videos.
@@Fenocdehgr8 I really enjoy digging into the details, and I don't plan for that to change! I only mean to lessen the scope of my projects, at least for a while, and to see how that plays out. Expect the same content - just on smaller questlines, etc.
As a lifelong Paladin main, I truly appreciate you bringing our story to the... um... light. I know I truly appreciated getting to see videos of quests I never got to enjoy, horde adventures, druid quest lines, etc. It is wild how this game, in the true dawn of the internet (for gaming purposes), created such a gigantic world that most people will never experience a quarter of what it has to offer. Though I've split from the game for several years now and created my own family, I can live through videos like these from time to time without having to worry about grinding BiS gear and raid mats for weeks. Again, truly appreciated.
As someone who has never played a paladin, it is really awsome to see the other class quests. Being sent to the ends of Azeroth and having to interact with other players to aquire goods and clear content was what made Vanilla great
@@fyler1 Wow Classic is alive and well again now with 1000's logging in for that very reason, i love it! i cant play retail anymore , there's no challenge ,its so hard to die until you get to raids, but classic has you scared around evey corner :)
I never played a paladin, but I did play a warlock back in 2004. I did my epic mount quest with the help of my father, who had his epic pally mount, and your video truly captured the same incredible, awe-struck feel of the trials and tribulations and harrowing amounts of gold we went through to obtain these heroic horses. No mount has ever felt the same to me as the demonic, fiery steed that I summoned and bound to me in Dire Maul so many years ago. Thank you so much for your wonderful story telling and beautiful video design, which allowed me to look back fondly on those memories.
i love your videos, they bring me a sense of a great nostalgia for the game i remember, but feel like it does not exist anymore because everything changed so much...really im so glad you're making this content, your voice is calm and soothing i could listen all day haha. also i never played paladin so i love to see the lore :)
I enjoy your tangents like the scholomance key quest or just commenting on things like the danger of being player killed on STV boats. Also your music choice is spot on. Great work in both videos, your time is appreciated!
A wrong righted beyond the grave, a grim fate undone, Though Death agone could not be stayed, that day today is won. A great quest that well exemplifies the way of the Paladin, and an excellent video thereupon.
So many great memories of this questline. At 60 and even into TBC towards 70, I helped every single Paladin I could in our guild to get their mount when it was time. We had it solidly down pat. It was so much fun that when we were 70, we did an all-paladin run to do the final quest. One dedicated tank, one dedicated healer, and three Ret pally's, only one of which was still 60 and who needed the mount. I miss those days when WoW was that exciting without ever needing to do anything in a raid.
Wow, what a nostalgic rollercoaster, I remember doing this questline what feels like a lifetime ago, but being too young to really know what the story behind it was or really care. I relied on the good ol Thottbot for my questing. Thanks for making this video! I can't wait to see more.
I've just binge watched all 3 of your videos and I absolutely love them! You have a really good way of narrating and keeping it interesting all throughout, but not just that, you make me feel the immersion of the world of Azeroth that I've only ever felt while playing, not through videos. Keep up the awesome work!
More of these, please! I love the way you do these long-form videos. It really touches on this heavy bit of nostalgia I have for vanilla WoW. It's pretty apparent your audience is here for WoW content, so keep it coming when you can! Cheers!
Damn this was awesome, waiting 18 years for a proper tribute to this quest was worth it. I think back very fondly on that time and how much of a sacrifice every gold step was as it was all I had everytime.
That’s it I’m making a Paladin in Official as my alliance character. And my hunter as horde. This was incredible to witness and I need to do these awesome quests you’re sharing with us.
It is 2023, and I am watching with bated breath the diary of a heroic paladin, exactly like I did in 2005, although back then it was in written form. Funnily enough, that old paladin was an alchemist :) Thank you so much for keeping the inspiration alive by the means of this amazing series!
Once again you've bit off more than you can chew and absolutely nailed it. I love these. They bring a tear to my eye, realizing that time has gone so fast since I was introduced to vanilla WoW back in 2007. The adventures, the scenery, the people. I will always cherish that time and this world.
I did this quest. Can‘t believe that I did all of this back then. The memories have become a bit unclear right now, but I remember the feeling of that very special social experience. Truly magic moment in video game history.
Your videos perfectly capture what I love about this world and why I’ve returned again and again over the last 18 years trying to recapture this magic.
Fantastic video mate. I've just recently returned to Classic (Era) after several years away and am levelling a new pally. I finished the Verigan's Fist chain a few days ago and am looking forward to eventually tackling this epic feat if and when I eventually make it to 60!
Just like leveling a paladin, the quest is long, often tedious. But the reward well worth it. Easily one of the best quests in WoW. Great work retelling what every paladin goes through on their path to becoming legends.
for someone who had to do this with his first guild friends back in 2007, in TBC actually because I never reached max level in OG Vanilla, this was a nice nostalgia. When Classic dropped i never played, but again in *TBC* Classic i came back and yes, got the Charger again! Feels very very nice to see the story recapped here!
What a great video. My first class was nelf Hunter, but my second was a human paladin, and I remember doing this quest chain as a kid. I was 9 years old at the time, and I remember all my adult guildies in Ventrillo helping me out the entire step of the way, one I finally mounted the charger they got so exited for me lol.
Never had to do that quest even as a paladin because I started playing WoW sometime around BC and my main character was a mage. Still brings back loads of memories, and also my friend playing a warlock had to do the similar quest and he always reminded me how big of a hassle it was whenever I said it was unfair that he got a "free" mount.
You have a great way of storytelling. I appreciate that you included seemingly minor details - the game is so frequently an exercise in running through things as fast as possible, it's nice to remember the story behind everything.
Absolute work of art. Like others have said I appreciate the small tangents you go on to explain peripheral things that, while not linked to the quest directly, are nonetheless integral to the completion of it. The amount of love for this game you must have shines through in these videos and though I never played a Paladin to max level until Wrath and therefore never did this quest chain, the fact that you are so passionate about what you’re talking about absolutely kept me enthralled! I can’t wait to see how you tackle other huge questlines. I have always thought the guides that are available on UA-cam while useful lack any sort of wonder or passion for the subject and they sorely need this type of treatment. Other World of Warcraft content creators could learn a thing or two from the way you approach these subjects. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your content and I couldn’t be happier to watch and rewatch it all. Thank you.
This reminds me of Madseason, happy to see there are still good narrative content like this. x1000 more captivating than a player filming himself, loudly overreacting at anything and putting explosion/frog memes every 30 sec. Thanks for that, you got my sub
About what you said at 15:00, I was in a guild a few years ago where the leader would take time of the day to check the donations and on big raid nights he'd thank everyone one by one for their donations (smth like ppl do with patreons etc)... it was really an extra thing only he did but it always made me happy to hear my name of the donators and im sure it helped drive up the overall donations each time because im sure more people felt the same (he never mentioned anyone that didnt donate, even if it happened to be just one person, was mostly doing it to show appreciation and with so many names even if someone wasnt called most people wouldnt noticed cuz they were paying attention waiting for their name)
I remember doing this quest chain back in the day on my human paladin. I was thankful to find an alchemist who had been preemptively saving up Arcanite Bars and was willing to trade them for the materials and a small tip. The hardest part was saving up the gold needed for the different parts of the mount journey.
The nostalgia hit from these are awesome ❤ There was a thread I read recently asking what achievement you're most proud of in WoW. Gotta admit that mine is the legacy one for completing my Charger questline back in the day. I remember it well, it was solid work and I've got great memories of that. Great video!
What a video! I played retail and later on some private servers and still I remember the beauty of doing long quests for example the one involving opening the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj!
Despite I've played WoW with class mates back in the day, I have never become a fan of the game. I didn't get, why there were so many people all around the world playing this tedious, boring game. But watching your WoW-Videos really shows me, that there is a spark of adventure, I have missed out on by just not getting it. That, despite I didn't enjoy the general gameplay, there was an exiting world to explore, a flavourfull playstyle to master and an engaged community to become a part of. Thanks for showing me, that all those people who loved WoW weren't just tasteless nerds, as I first assumed, but a band of pioniers of a rich fantasy world :) Keep on the good work!
I think I forgot to subscribe the last couple videos I saw of yours but I'm glad YT pushed it again. Paladin was the first class I got past 25 and really cemented some feel good memories of vanilla WoW. From entering Stormwind for the first time and taking the tram, to experiencing PvP in Ashenvale for the first time, I had a grand old time on my Paladin. I got that account banned at level 40 but I think 10 years later I managed to get it activated again and April, my Paladin, was STILL on the boat to Darkshore when I got that infamous text from a GM about my behavior (I was 15, let's not act like we weren't all shitbirds at that age).

You have a gift for good storytelling. Of course getting practice and better at it makes sense. Just tell the story you want to tell. The rest comes on it's own. I'll be happy to follow you on this journey
Your wow videos are gold. These stories are why i still play Classic era. im just so much in love with old azeroth, ive seen all of it, plenty of times. But i just cant get enough of it. all the story lines, zones, items, lore of all the zones, all the random rpg mechanics you encounter across the world. All of it, is just so much more enjoyable then anything in retail wow, imo. anyway, great video!
I really like this video. You focus on the in game Theme of what the character is doing as well as giving context to The World from a player perspective is really good. Nice tangent with the scholomance key, though I was sad to see that you skipped over the mini quest from Chromie for The Attuned Damperer that is made specifically to kill Araj the summoner. Finally I loves your tips that each seal have a different effect on the Undeads. I DID NOT KNOW THIS! New information is rare after 20 years so that was a true gem for me! Awesome video!
I don't really care for WoW and anything related to it, video was a nice story, but the fact that you put the name of all the songs used for this video makes you honestly one of the best youtube creators on the platform. I feel like there's only a handful of people who still do that.
Your style of narration and editing gets me really immersed in your video and the story you want to present. And the short comments discussing game mechanics add a nice variety to it. I'm really glad your video showed up in my recommended and I wish you the best of luck going forward - I'll be watching.

I’ve never played WoW; I don’t consume WoW content. The algorithm sent me to your channel because I do enjoy longform video game content. Your videos are excellent. Keep up the great work!
Watched the video several times. An its still an absolute joy.
This is a CRIMINALLY underrated channel. Love your journeys, Verigan.
That was a great finishing sequence. Great shots and choice of music.
Also: great humour throughout, keep them coming!
Incredible content and well worth the wait - you are a brilliant storyteller!
Just here to push your algo! Loved your first video, looking forward to watching this later today!
I don't really care for WoW and anything related to it, video was a nice story, but the fact that you put the name of all the songs used for this video makes you honestly one of the best youtube creators on the platform.
I feel like there's only a handful of people who still do that.
I didn't do this quest chain on my original vanilla pally alt, but I remember helping guildies. Good times
Very calming video, great video editing too!
Your style of narration and editing gets me really immersed in your video and the story you want to present. And the short comments discussing game mechanics add a nice variety to it.
I'm really glad your video showed up in my recommended and I wish you the best of luck going forward - I'll be watching.
"A hero...that's what you once were
You fought valiantly against the shadow, and purchased another dawn...with your life
But the evil you fought is not so easily banished, the victory you claimed, not so easily held."
Absolutely adore this style, would LOVE to see more WoW videos as this is conveys experience so well
Really enjoyed the video, great work!
that gotta be one of the coolest quests + mounts I've seen
Still remember when I did these quests back in the day. Awesome vid, truly awesome.
I remember doing this back in Vanilla, took forever but I miss the class specific quests I think they added so much to the game. Great job on the video :D
hey man I just wanted to say I love your content. Very cozy and nostalgic. Love the cinematic views and the storytelling.
Hey, thanks!
As a paladin main, I was hooked from the first video, and you're continuing to deliver!
I hope you one day make a video about the Onyxia attunement.
God... I remember like it was just yesterday, but it was 2004 and I first did this quest on my Pally! (I was a month or so late buying this gem of a game!, but was sooo fun and forever imbedded in my memory!)
