Here in the UK, it's called a "bum bag" and is usually worn at the front. The reason being that if you are in a queue, or a crowded place like a subway it's less likely that a thief will try to open it and steal your stuff. Our word bum is a semi polite word for one's buttocks.
Or to scrounge, especially with cigarettes - using that other word that Americans have a VASTLY different meaning for.....

That trip looked so fantastic. I didn't think I could handle the rowing (I'm 70) bur when I saw your moms doing it and heard how often they've done it, I would certainly give it a go. The hiking I couldn't do; diabetic neuropathy in my feet. To bad there weren't more animals; that would have been fun. Most of the food looked good. My favorite of course was the steak & potatoes. Damn, but that made my mouth water. I heard Kendra mention her "two moms" in the past, but it was very nice to get to "meet" them. Anyway, I'll shut up now and look forward to seeing you two down the road. Love you girls...... Bernie ❤
The trick to canoeing at any age is to do it right. Pulling the paddle will tire you out & make you sore. Pushing with your top hand makes it much easier on the body. I hope you can give it try sometime. It can be very relaxing.
Also, animals can be very hard to capture on vlogs. I was surprised at the lizard.
Nice trip. I am more of a Huzzah River fan or maybe the Black River but y’all brought back some memories for me.

What a great adventure. Some of my favorite vacations have been ones where I stay a week in a cabin in a state park somewhere.

Ya'll were lucky to find a ripe pawpaw! The critters usually when they get just ripe. We are lucky to have enough trees on my property to get a bushel or two every year to can.
We had never seen or tried one before!! It was very interesting 😊
That boat trip was paradise. Beautiful place. We have places like that in WV. It's scary how far you have to go to see country. Housing developments , golf courses, it's eating up all the beautiful scenery. Great video ladies. Keep them coming. Hi from CC. P.S. loved the spooning bugs.

It's funny, I have recently bought hiking/camping gear because I want to do it again after not for about a decade. It used to be my favorite hobby in the fall time, and I work in the West Virginia mountains so I should take advantage. I have now added boating on the river because of this video, looks fun!

Absolutely love the vlog as a parent of 7 we used to love camping tent stile lol and in Australia a fanny is the same as the UK lol I remember once taking my oldest 2 fishing I was so burnt never again spiders are fun 🤩 and a big gday mate from Australia 🇦🇺 and cheers 🥂

H&K, if you guys like canoeing, you have to float the Buffalo River in North Arkansas. The best river I've ever gone down. I have never heard of anyone regret doing that float.

It came from REI back in about 2004. It has two water bottle pouches & lots of room. Perfect for day trips. Cameras and lenses fit well too.

Oh wow! It was cool to see you in Missouri. I'm from KCK and grew up canoeing on the Little Niangua River (south central MO). I was shocked at how empty the river was. Frankly, it was an empty river and all the trees were still green at the end of October? That just blows my mind.
I love camping down that ways. We did rafting and tubing...so great. I wanna learn to kayak. If you get the chance try Ferne Clyffe state park in southern il. It has gorgeous trails and the waterfall trail is my fave. ❤

You can also see the indian echo cavers too while you are here in PA. PA has alot of state parks to exsplore.
Go to the Poconos rent a cabin at the camp near the theme park Knoebels. Knoebels is a theme park that was built in and around nature. They have awsome rides,good food and drink,lots of fun games,talented venders and artist.
Then take a trip to The kitchen kettle walk around to all the different stores. Baked goods,meats and cheese,jams ,jellies and other in house made items.
Then stop over to hershey come to the park ride some roller coasters,get some fresh made popcorn,fresh made kettle cooked chips,play some games and maybe catch a show or two.Take a walk threw the zoo
