A Train Ride In a National Park - Cuyahoga N.P Ohio

Welcome to our Ohio adventure this week!!
We planned to tick off another National Park while in Ohio, making Cuyahoga Valley National Park Number 30 visited...only 33 to go 😊 We cycled through the park to the town of Akron, then our bikes were loaded onto the Explorer Train and we hit the scenic railroad through Cuyahoga Valley. A one-way trip was $5 from Akron back to Peninsula Station, where we came upon some bike trouble again. Brett broke a spoke!!
We also cycled the Ashtabula cycle path and took a slight detour to Paradise Bay for a refreshment. This cycle path was beautiful, with lots of information boards along the way about the Underground Railroad.
Last up, we visited Hocking Hills State Park, where we took to the trails to see all the beauty this park had on offer. There is so much to do in and around Hocking Hills State Park with Canopy Tours, High Rock Adventures, and Ziplining. It's certainly a great holiday destination.

You surely did pronounce Cuyahoga right. I was born and raised near the Frazee house and my youngest sister still lives in the same house. The older sister lives just up the hill from MD Garage.
That was a lengthy ride you two made.

@@BrettandRach as kids we would hike into the valley a lot. I would think so many others didn't realize what it was like. Well it wasn't a National Park back then also. Just the valley. Did you get time to visit The Emerald Necklace Metro Parks? It's also amazing and long and over 100 years old.
