Few people realize how much Time, skill and perseverance it takes to not only track down difficult to find birds, but to photographically capture them AND then edit the footage with the appropriate music and compelling narration. Simply astounding production value. You deserve national recognition for your contributions, Tim.
Your kind words are very much appreciated. It certainly does take some commitment, especially in the production side of things. I do hope that more people get to enjoy these films and see the beauty of this great country.
Incredible footage of these kites, Tim! Your perseverance and skill are second to none. Thank you for your time and efforts to produce quality documentation not only in the video but also the narration and description.
Thanks a million Ricky, kind words indeed. This was a special trip for sure and I will produce a more comprehensive version capturing all the birds at some stage.
So beautiful, thankyou so much for your work. In this time of global wars and all the attendant death, brutality, pain & loss , this lifts my spirits. ❤
g'day Tim, great docco, I have had this kite here around my house for the last two months +, sitiing whitnessed by two people. Amazing to watch this beautifull bird, i am on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria
I once saw a pair of Letterwing Kites flying/gliding over my farmhouse in 1980. I know a lot of people have said it couldn’t have been Letterwings but I know what I saw as I had never seen them before in Nthn NSW and took a lot of notice. I then went to a library to find out what sort of bird they were. They were only there a couple of days or at least I only saw them for a couple of days. They were circling overhead for a few minutes on each occasion and then disappeared from over the canefields. I only saw them from below and remember the black swoosh on each wing from the body to not quite the end of the wing. This was just outside of Murwillumbah township.
Absolutely mesmerising Tim. Not only to see such a rare bird but also a great composition of video and information on them. It was nice to get a sense of the other wildlife out there as well :) Cheers, Richard
We used to have Black Shouldered Kites on the property we lived at, I loved watching them hover and dive into the long grass to catch mice, that was a treat, awesome work mate 👍

Well done Tim, perseverance payed off in the end. The clarity of the shots at such a distance is fantastic and your info about the bird was great too. Thanks for posting and I look foreword to more in the future. David.
