Thank you, Psycheopera! I'm amazed how good it sounds and how well it plays. I just need to lower the action slightly on it and I think it will be even better ❤️✨️
@MikeysTarot I'm so sorry, Mikey 😞 I just got carried away with the cookies 🍪, but I glad, at least we all got some enjoyment out of the tin 😆🪕. Thanks again, my friend 🧡
That sounds nice. There are 2 main ukelele tunings, both GCEA. Low G is '5 frets up' from the high strings of a guitar. High G has the Low G string raised an octave higher (to confuse guitarists.) Aquila also make 2 string sets for tuning like a violin 13" or viola 15". Tenor banjo standard (jazz) tuning is the same as a viola.
Hi Martin! Yes, the wood I used is 2 "× 1" and I skimmed about 1/8" from the depth of the headstock to accommodate the tuning pegs. I have posted pictures of the building process on a community post so you can refer to it. Nice one, Martin 👍 ... Happy building, my friend 😊 Ps. I didn't make the slide. I bought it from ' Dog House bottle neck guitar slides, here in the UK. I think they are on Etsy, if not Ebay. If you want an inexpensive metal slide, they are available from Amazon 😊
It's got a great sound. Handy little instrument 😊 👍
Thanks, b ! I agree 👍 💯
Brilliant. Love it.

Thanks, B.😊. I have set her up a bit better now ,and she's sounding sweeter ✨️.

I think I'll have to have go a this Liesl - what size is that neck 2"x1" ? Also - did you make your own bottle neck slide - if so how?

Brilliant Liesl. .....I know you said it didn't have a piezo can one be added?
Yeah, a piezo can easily be added to the inside of the neck, and the jack plug will fit nicely into the side of the tin 👍
Thanks Liesl. When you say the inside of the neck is that where it joins / fits to the tin... thanks
@jeffwren5794 yeah anywhere on the inside of the neck ( inside the can) for the best sound it's good to place it near to the bridge 👍✨️
