Howard’s Dad owned a recording studio and had many connections within the industry and Howard tries to pretend he was some street urchin guy who had a Pursuit of Happiness type story. Don’t get me wrong, I think he deserves all his success and he (was) the greatest radio personality of all time, but he’s also totally not telling the truth when he says he came from nothing and had no connections. The dude came from an upper middle class family, I don’t know why people seem to be ashamed of their middle class upbringing. So many people try to pretend they had absolutely nothing. It’s kind of insulting to the people who actually do live paycheck to paycheck and go to sleep hungry.
