- Unofficial computer renderings have surfaced that bring together the pieces and offer our best look at the 2025 Kia Tasman, the Korean brand's vital competitor to the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux. This comes just days after spy images of the vehicle revealed essential facts about the next mid-size truck.
Graphic designers took cues from the next-gen Toyota Tacoma and utilised the most recent information gathered in Korea to create the Tasman, a rugged-looking pickup that will make its debut in the middle of 2025.
The projected Tasman, like most utes in its class, takes design cues from American off-road SUVs and pickups; the front end is expected to be both tough and contemporary. With striking LED headlights adorning either side of Kia's trademark "tiger nose" grille, the pickup is sure to stand out. The goal of the design is to provide an impression of power with a modern twist.

Make it AWD like a Subaru. Have a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes like a hilux. Add Adaptive cruise control. Those are the three main things. And you will have a ute that beats them all.

If it actually looks anything like this, then yes. What engine they decide to put in it, will be a big deciding factor. If it doesn't have impressive power straight out off the production line, it will be doomed from the start. Like Mercedes failed attempt.

Copy? Maybe but 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain. 5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper. Also 5 year 60,000 mile roadside assistance. Ford, Gm, Dodge, needs to step up. And they are more expensive.

Looks like an old Yukon. Suppose using the front 2/3 of the Telluride would make for a very nice cab, whether on top of a full frame (more likely) or a unibody/subframe arrangement, like the SantaCruz.

Perfect. A "truck" that can tow 1500lb and haul 23, frame breaks after 50k miles, hitch frame breaks after one use, front bumper can't withstand 5lb of pressure, sunroof switch breaks after the 5th use, 3 different airbag recalls, a 3 cylinder engine with twin turbos that won't put up with being revved on 4 thousand RPM for 3 minutes, and an "offroad package" that offers all wheel drive. Just what I need.
