such a well put together video! I love how you have multiple options for every product and a show a picture and full name. So considerate! Well explained, filmed, and edited! thank you, beautiful!
Olivia I have been following your curly hair journey as I have also been transitioning more or less the same time as you and I love your content! Just one quick thing, I think the mask should be after you shampoo and before you use conditioner because conditioners help close the hair cuticle, check out online some articles about it they all mention to use a mask before conditioning your hair. Much love xxx
You Have just totally changed my life, my hair is so damaged and i feel so ugly. I am going to get the products right now I was always putting was. thank always using way too many products I was never told how to care for my curls and I hope that they come back to life because you took the time to show us how to Thank you so much....going to have a wash day I am so excited.
GIRLLLL I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Your hair is beautiful and your routines are always so helpful. I just uploaded my routine to my channel yesterday. What a coincidence!
I think people confuse thick and coarse and also thick and many strands. So my actual hair strand is thin but because I have much more dense coverage with more strands, it can appear thick even when it is not. I believe you have many strands but I can tell when your hair is wet that the actual strand itself is thinner.
Right! When I say thick I define it as having lots of hair, so having lots strands👍🏼 then when defining the actual hair strand I would use the words ‘coarse’ and ‘fine’.
I loved this video! Just wish you’d use the denman brush after your styling cream! It could give so much more definition! And also scrunching your cast with the oils rather than before could help with moisture and shine!
Hi!
My hair always ends up looking like yours in 6:30 but I don’t diffuse and idk how to fluff it out without making it super frizzy😭 so i guess that’s why i lack volume. I’m getting a haircut soon and getting more layers to see if i can fluff it and get more volume like that.
@@geiaz4091 no! I’ll look into it thank you so much!! I’m currently starting to try bounce curl! It defines a lot but i’m still struggling with volume. I have high hopes for my haircut that’s coming up tho lmao. I don’t think i have layers so hopefully that will help!!
I have exact hair ad urs..medium density, medium courseness, low posity...2c-3a. My friend has 3a-3b hair but really thick...u cant see her scalp. That is a way to measure thickness/density if u can see the scalp. So ur most def. Fine to medium thickness.
Sometimes people say funny things for whatever reason (usually jealousy)... I would say that you have lovely hair that is thicker than the average person's. Keep up the beautiful thick locks! Salutations from Canada! # women championing women
I have low porosity hair just like you and my hair is also quite thick but I have heard about how we need to have a protein/moisture balance and how low porosity hair types don’t require much protein( or try avoid products with them ) . Are your products protein free ? By the way love your hair it’s keeping me very motivated during my transition period :)
I'm so glad I found your channel! You have the same hair as me (but mine has more ringlets). Do you ever find that diffusing makes your hair feel weird after a while? After diffusing my hair for about 3 weeks my hair got to a state where it felt sticky with product even when it was dry and it became so coarse and dry looking. It was awful 😭
Kevinn Poree try getting a clarifying shampoo to use once every few washes, maybe the diffuser is setting the product into your hair and makes it too hard for your regular shampoo to remove xoxo
Hi Olive, I am starting my curl journey and not sure how 'big' I want my curls to go. I do have thin hair but looks thick from the curls/frizz when natural. Is there one drug store product you recommend best to start with?
You have a similar ethnic background and type of hair as me...can I ask, how often do you wash your hair? And you know....your hair routine between wash days
wow you use alot of products...aint got time for that! lol...i use one...shea moisture souffle gel...works great moisturizes and hold. i have same curly type and density as yours...give it a try it will decrease your styling time tremendously!!
Ive been using my hair straight a couple of years it has a lot of damege . Now I want to turn my curly hair should i cut my hair . Bc I want to use my hair long but it has a lot of damege.
I used to have curly hair with a few coils here and there but as the years passed for some reason my hair kept getting more wavy and now it’s literally almost close to straight hair with a bit of waves. Does anyone know how I can get my curls back?:(
I’m so jealous :( my hair looks like yours when it was wavy/curly. I’ve tried so many different products and methods.. im starting to think that maybe my curly hair genetics just aren’t that strong 🤷♀️
This my third month after transitioning.. and I have a party tomorrow I really want to strait my hair, but at the same time I don't want to damage it any more helpp 😭
Use a treatment and then wash it using conditioner and shampoo then after don’t dry it with a towel, let it air dry until it’s not dripping wet then start styling it, and don’t forget to use an oil after it is styled and a shine spray so that it looks healthier. I hope u have fun at your party tar, and I hope u are feeling ur self with your curly hair!! XOXO
Congratulations 😊 You can get heat protectant spray at the drugstore, the tresemme one is great! Make sure to do each pass on your hair slowly, so that you get it pin straight without having to straighten one section over and over, causing more damage. A hair mask afterwards when you have your next wash day can't hurt either!
omg, I love this video but i got a little question and i haven't really found answers to it, so I have this problem that at the bottom of head my hair has more big coils and they are in bigger chunks, way more smooth but at the top of my head, bangs and especially the sides are really rough and I could NEVER define the roots of it so its 99% frizz and much tighter curls.. Can someone explain this to me, please? i gotta figure it out before I go to a wedding reception :(
ratz I have the same problem. Maybe like me you have multiple curl patterns and porosity in your hair. Found the top down styling method really helps define the canopy of my hair. Make sure that your hair is well saturated & I found brushing the gel through before gently scrunching really defines my curls & minimises frizz. Check out that video. Hope that helps 😊
Um I feel like you shouldn’t add protein masks and leave ins since you do have dry and low porosity hair. And typically low porosity hair doesn’t like a ton load of protein. And protein leave ins are especially more risky on low porosity hair, especially when you have dry hair. Your hair will become brittle and start breaking off. I mean I add protein to my low porosity hair as well but only when I have too much moisture in my hair. I can tell when my hair elasticity goes poor (a lot of stretch). Because you said it’s dry, it might do more damage than good for much protein in our porosity type hair.
Hi, I don't use any protein masks or leave ins, the only product with protein here is the Curl Smoothie from Shea Moisture - I only use this in small amounts. But yes in the past I have found that protein does not work well with my hair type! X
I don’t always use all of these but thought I would include them all for the vid! Lots of the time it’s just shampoo and conditoner in the shower and a cream and gel outside the shower x
Love your vid! But I ask you to be more conscious about tge water you are wasting, close it if you are detangling you hair or putting the hair mask, it would be appreciated
this is a QUALITY curl routine right here
Hehe glad you like!!👏🏼👏🏼

your curls are so pretty!
We have the same hair type! Really nice vid. Imma try this 🥰
Medium thickness i would say! Believe me someone with thick hair, you can't see the hair parting or scalp at all!
Thanks for the tip, my hair is pretty much like yours.👍
did you rinse out the thick mask under the cap before getting out of the shower, or you styled your hair with that too?
Rinsed out! X

Do you recommend any hair creams??

2-4 times a month depending how dry my hair is! X
