Next holy top you build, pot the finish on before drilling the 20mm holes.

This is great. Did you say you were building some others to make up costs?

Seems like on both tables you may have got results on the side cutouts that you weren’t happy with. Trying the router unsuccessfully and going to the jigsaw. Just curious why you didn’t drill the holes in the corner and then use your track saw to cut them out, maybe finishing the last of the cut with the jigsaw if needed. I built a diy mft and used the track saw for mine. Just curious, I know it’s not really a big deal.

That’s a great question and I agree that the track saw would be the best solution. I’m chalking this one up to impatience and rushing through it, haha!

I had to build a stair stringer for a customer who needed their porch steps and middle stringer replaced, and I used the track saw to cut the entire thing. I used the lines on the track saw to line up my cuts and used the little black festool limit stopper as a stop so I didn't cut past anything. It took a little longer than if I just grabbed the circular saw and started hacking away, but it was by far the nicest stair stringer I've ever made. The track saw was literally made for plunge cuts like this. The customers husband was a retired construction guy who has gotten too old to do the work, and he actually came out and complimented how well the stairs turned out.

Any chance you would share the cut list file for this?

Definitely! Here's the Cut List Optimizer file that I used. I didn't exactly cut the material as shown, but the dimensions are what I used. drive.google.com/file/d/1BJeUU1Gb_otRGLJSUZUrqrzrfwsaDdND/view?usp=sharing
