I’ve 4 kids, and I don’t regret a single penny spent on memories. My kids are 26, 24, 16, and 14. Even if the younger guys don’t remember their earlier parties or vacations, it doesn’t mean their older siblings forgot those times! It’s the kids childhood, but it’s also *our* season of parenthood, so spending money on exceptional memories is certainly an acceptable thing.

The party looked AMAZING - so much fun!!! "The Trackers After Dark" - that was hilarious!!! I was so surprised though that Oliver didn't "smash" his cake. He picked at it like Jackson did on his 1st birthday. I thought for sure he would really go for it. LOL

The pandemic showed us to cherish and celebrate life, because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. People should not worry what you do with your money and how you choose to spend it. I’m a big fan of making a big deal out of birthdays! It’s an excuse to bring everyone you love together and make memories. We hardly see our nieces and nephews now that they’re grown and some moved away, so I really cherish those days we spent together.

Saturday was BEAUTIFUL weather, we went to magic kingdom for a little while that day. I hope the time change didn’t mess the kids up too bad as far as their sleep goes. It shouldn’t mess me up like it does but for whatever reason it takes me forever to recover. So happy to have the extra daylight after 6 though!
Can't believe he's a year already, seeing him grow and develop as he has and seeing Jackson grow up into a great kid and brother too is wonderful. You guys are such an amazing and loving family, keep the sun in your hearts always and have a wonderful day!

You should always celebrate birthdays no matter how old. I love it. My kids are teens and don’t want parties now. I wish I threw more when they were kiddos. Loved the video and glad it didn’t rain!
What fun! Birthdays for me growing up was dinner out and cake and ice cream. I was the only little kid going out to dinner for birthdays. But I loved it. I'd eat prime rib with mocktails. Got to dress up. If I had kids today I would definitely do the party planner route if a lot of people were coming.
I never really got to have birthdays cause I was born in the middle of winter and it snowed!! But that’s ok I was never one for big parties!! Growing up my mom would bake me a cake and take me out to eat!! She has been gone for 8 years and my dad is fighting lung cancer!! So we did not get to go out to eat!! But you know what he is alive to celebrate another birthday!! And that means more to me than any party!!!

What a great party.
Doesn’t matter whether the kids remember it or not. They enjoy it at the time and they’ll see pictures when they’re older and you’ll remember it.
Most kids parties here (UK) we have to arrange inside coz we have about 8 months of winter. So there tends to be a lot of soft play parties, or people will hire out halls and get entertainers, bouncy castles etc.
Happy birthday Oliver :) !!! On a sidenote, I can't believe you guys have 2 boys already. I started watching your channel back in 2017 for a middle school documentary project on Disney World and I needed some background info on rides. I found one of your videos and I've been team Tracker ever since lol!

What a great birthday party theme. Looks like you all had fun. And for whoever got Oliver the drum I say well done....because I was that friend who like getting the kids the noisiest messiest presents since I didn't have to be around to hear the noise or clean up the mess. And I'd always know I did a good job when I'd get "the look" from the parents when the kids opened their presents. I did get a wake up call one day after a birthday party to the child playing their loud musical toy though and then the mom came on line and said, "since we've been listening to this non-stop we thought you might like to partake in the joy too." I just laughed and went back to sleep.
