Minnesota Pheasants | 2023 Rooster Road Trip Ep. 1

- Home to nearly 25,000 Pheasants Forever members and an incredibly strong chapter network, Minnesota is the birthplace of Pheasants Forever and the quality and abundance of publicly accessible upland habitat that can be found within its borders speaks to that.
Perhaps only overlooked by nonresident hunters due to its proximity to North Dakota and South Dakota, the first leg of Rooster Road Trip proved that Minnesota isn’t a sleeper state - it’s a destination unto itself.
The Rooster Road Trip is made possible by: Ruff Land Kennels, Browning firearms and apparel, Garmin training collars and watches, SoundGear hearing protection and enhancement, Federal Ammunition, Irish Setter boots, YETI coolers and storage, Leupold performance eyewear, and Apple Autos.

Great content. One suggestion for a future episode would be to have a show dedicated to recipes and cooking. Thanks for the great work.
The edit on this video production is Television worthy. The sound bites chosen, and intimate clips of the landscapes creates a very immersive feel while watching. I feel like I am right there in the hunt with you guys. Shout out to MN public lands, and shout out to the editor of this video.
Thanks for the video
Great little showcase of Minnesota Pheasant hunting! Can't wait for the weekend to chase some!
PF-from a life member just returned from Montana and North Dakota to Florida. Keep up the good work showing how important habitat is for good pheasant hunting
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR, JUST FOR ROOSTER ROADTRIPS!!!
Great video ! I remember when Pa. had birds like that !
I wish I was alive to see that😢
It was really something !@@Edeitrick57
Awesome video! We just got back from Kansas and saw quite a few birds, both quail and pheasants! Heading to Iowa next!!
Glad to read your comment about KS. Almost all of the other ones I've read have been bleak.
Would love to get your take on hunting in what looks like solid field of giant foxtail. Foxtail scares the crap out of me. Is there a different variety of foxtail that bird dog owners should be more concerned with?
I had some hesitations but our group member with a biology degree mentioned it wasn't the "really bad" kind (I think the really nasty stuff is Foxtail Barley?). That said, anytime you're hunting super weedy cover as shown in this episode a thorough tailgate check and eyewash with saline or water is an absolute necessity. - Andrew
Thanks for the reply and yes, I agree with the tailgate check. Sounds like a great podcast idea!@@PheasantsForever
What ammunition do you use with 20 gauge?
Federal Prairie Storm Steel 3's and 4's
Very nice but turn down the music.
Minn should be more worried about the political people
