I am diving headfirst into bread making this year. After listening to all the wisdom about milling your own grains and the health benefits, I decided it was worth the investment. I'm totally new to this, but I'm excited to learn this new valuable skill! A good channel to follow is Felicia over at Grains and Grit as well as Bread Beckers. Your marshmallows look divine! Looking forward to a year of growing and learning together. 😍
It’s fun to change things up a bit. I switched out my kitchen handles a few years ago. It’s kind of like new jewelry for our cabinets. 😊 If I were younger, I would invest in a grain mill and stronger mixer. But, at 66 yrs old and only the two of us, it isn’t practical at this point. I am learning new skills as I am a volunteer librarian at our Christian School our church runs. I call myself a “pretend librarian”. 😂 We do both computer and card/stamp method of checking in and out books. There are four of us who take turns. I have been sewing most of my life as my mom was a professional. But, there is always new things to make. I just bought fabric to make a new cover for my Bible and fabric to make bowl covers for myself as well as some as Christmas gifts to have tucked away.
I love the winter months! I think they are so cozy with the short days when the whole evening is dark. Such a wonderful time to light candles. I like to spend time in the winter to declutter and clean drawers and closets, then when it’s spring and I look ahead to spring cleaning, those tasks are already done.
We took our kitchen light fixtures and painted them from nickel to matte black, and it made such a difference. We're going to paint the kitchen hardware with the same paint to tie it all in. So the only cost will be the spray paint. We've ordered peel and stick tiles for the kitchen, so that's our next project.
Great video as always. You never fail on the videos. I really enjoy watching you take care of your home and your children. Watching you doing your devotional in the early morning. Thank you for inviting us into your home. You are a true blessing.
This was a fun video. The kitchen handles are pretty. I like how they pop. I laughed when you spoke about your early married years and cooking. My hubby and I are from the south and when we first got married all I knew was southern cooking. And frankly didn’t know much of that. Anyways, I fried us some cubed steak one night. It looked good but when my hubby sat down to cut into it his steak knife couldn’t cut through it. 😂 I was so embarrassed at the moment but it has been a story we have told through the years. We have been married going on twenty four years and I am happy to say that I can now cook cubed steak and different foods that aren’t southern dishes. 😂
It will be exciting to see the new look to your cabinets. Gosh the marshmallows looked wonderful.
Ooh I’m loving all the kitchen updates! Can’t wait to see it all together ✨ Marshmallows looked amazing!
Thanks so much! I am too!

It is so nice to have some time to catch up on home tasks in the winter.

The marshmallows look yummy. The recipe makes a lot, how long is the shelf life on them, can they be frozen, refrigerated? Have a blessed day. ❤
The recipe said it will last only a couple days and to eat fresh. I shared about half with a friend who has kids. You may be able to half the recipe.
I have been wanting to try to make marshmallows for long.. I just have to do it 😊
Thank you
