Claudia was never like Louis. Claudia was always more like Lestat. Which is why it interesting that we see her as "one of the good ones", right??? Because we always consider Louis as "one of the good ones" because he expresses "guilt" and "shame". But Claudia DOESN'T ever feel bad about her vampiric nature - just like Lestat. She was just as cruel with her kills. She was just as dramatic. She's excited about the theater and vampire pride. But we call her one of the good ones...and so does Louis. One of Lestat's frustrations was that he was shunned in their early relationship for all the things that Claudia was free to be in front of him. So, it all begs the question - is "good" ONLY defined by feeling guilt and shame???
Claudia never abused her "vampire companion" or other vampires though. She stood up to her abuser and worked hard to move on/break the cycle. That's why a lot of people like her. She's "good" by vampire standards. A lot of people hate Lestat because he abused Louis and Claudia. It's a pretty simple concept to grasp. And no one as far as I know thinks Louis as "one of the good ones" just because he feels guilt and shame, either.
I swear Louis is on that battered wife syndrome mess, going back and back and back to Lestat in his mind wishing probably that he'd come back and be with him again despite the terrible abuse and cheating and lies. I feel like with all these breadcrumbs too, that Armand has made him forget somehow parts of his relationship with Lestat. He did tell him not to go sniffing around the lawyer and his past again and Louis had that whole confusing speech about his memory not being correct last episode. Something isn't adding up. Anyway, great react as usual!
@@cullenarthur8879 True love shouldn't involve someone harming you, physically and emotionally the way Lestat did Louis, and if you are to the point where you plot, plan, and agree to unalive the person you love---that would suggest otherwise. @@cullenarthur8879 Clearly the series is not staying 100% going off book, so I'm focusing on that in this context. I mean if it were, Claudia would be 5 years old. So yes, Louis did agree to Claudia's plan to kill Lestat and in fact, he was the one to slit his throat. You're also missing a bit of my point, again, within the context of this series, that Louis says Armand is the love of his life, which doesn't add up considering as you say, the love of his life should be Lestat, which is why, again to my point, I believe Armand has somehow manipulated Louis's memories as he seems to also be doing with Malloy.
Your reaction to Lestat has me dying lmao. I love Daniel so much, he just wants the realest form of the true events, no nonsense. He’s too funny for playing Nadia’s Theme (Young & the Restless)
When I was watching this episode, I couldn't help but think something just didn't quite add up. Especially the looks from Armand, sometimes to Daniel. I get the sense Armand feels guilt about Daniel (and other things with Louis) and Louis is becoming cruel to him as he remembers more. Also I just plain feel bad for Daniel as he realizes Louis and Armand had many young men they enjoyed and toyed with during their relationship.
Claudia was changed as a child, so she had a child mind at the time when she first started to eat humans. Children are more susceptible to being manipulated and desensitized to things. The reason why it's not hard for her to kill and was always easy for her to was because she was raised to kill and eat people. Lestat also traumatized her as a young girl when he forced her to watch the boy she accidentally killed get burned. Her last bit of sanity and humanity was burned with him. So it's pretty realistic her attitude towards it and why it's taking louis so long was because he was an adult with his own morals and such.
@crissiampco Yeah but we don't see other adult vampires act that way in the show when they're turned. Even Lestat said he didn't like it at first in the story he gave about when he was changed in season 1, he slowly grew to like it
