- In Las Vegas, an angry suspect is brought in after causing disruption on the road. Officers reason with the disruptive shouting man to settle down if he wants to be released sooner. Elsewhere a street performer covered in silver paint arrives and claims the officers have disrespected him.
Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

The woman with imaginary friends definitely has problems maintaining her grasp with reality. Horrible thing about drugs(if that's the original trigger), is they can bring on psychosis that stays long after the drugs are gone.

There are a lot of assumptions going on here. There are people who have mental issues that don't stem from drugs you know, and there are also people who have mental issues and use drugs to try to ease some of their stress and pain, and then drug use exacerbates their problem. It's not so simple, and immediately jumping to blame drug use is simplistic.

This isn't just a JAIL, it's a Psych Ward. So many of the detainées coming in need mental health care.
Years ago Tennessee closed all long term mental institutions. Maybe all states did, IDK. Since then our jails, prisons and nursing homes have become de facto mental institutions. It's sad and a drain on these places but I don't see other options.
@@jill4806 Kentucky currently has two, with wait lists of 1 year+. So a lot of them wind up in jail
well, everyone listened to the goody two-shoes, the poly-ticks, and the ACLU on their precious widdle civil rights. my mom worked in psychiatric institutions so i got a very good handle on what these people were like and how they had to be treated. but the goody two shoes seem to think mentals can be treated like normal people. so who is really crazy??

If someone has been convicted of a crime, they should be required to live at a verified address of some kind. If they're homeless, they should be transported to a shelter, psychiatric hospital, insane asylum, addiction treatment facility, or some other location where they have access to a flushable toilet, shower, and a safe place to sleep. If they refuse, they stay in jail. No one should just be dumped out onto the streets.
Tell that to the politicians who don't wanna fund those places, while jails and prisons and for profit industries

Damn! That jail house is JUMPING! It's busier then a damn 7-11! Kudos to law enforcement and I hope all of the detainees got their life together. This is why drugs and alcohol needs to be OUTLAWED.

She's made a career of being arrested by LV police without a paycheck.
I suspect she's mentally ill, as is the woman she's trying to rile up. Mental illness can cause you to not perceive reality as the rest of us perceive it. It isn't a failing or a weakness on their part, it's just the way it is.

Wow, the dregs of society. This is why we need mental hospitals. Now they are all out running the streets when they are in serious need of help!
We actually had pretty good mental health centers until the 1980s, then all (80%) funding was cut and they were all released onto the streets. It's been that way since so now they all end up in jail with law enforcement having to deal with it!

It’s not really complicated. There’s a bunch of different things that can come out of the human body. Otherwise it would be you’re under arrest for anything from blood to semen or anything else that comes out of us

Can you imagine how embarrassed you would be, acting like these people, when you sobered up? But most of these people dont feel any sense of that. Entitlement, and no sense of honor or pride.
I would be humiliated if I behaved this way and that's why I wouldn't act like these idiots. Acting up so badly that you have to be carried or wheeled away and put in a cell for a few hours. I've wondered how many of these people found themselves on shows like this and cringe at their own behavior. Nothing but a huge embarrassment to themselves.

A lot of this is not simple intoxication. It is obvious with a few that mental illness is present and the intoxicants are augmenting it

Some of these people are lucky to be in and out within a few hours. In Canada if you get booked expect a minimum of 8 hours to get through the system on a good day.

They always say all suspect is innocent untill proven guilty. I don't always believe that I have seen where they were guilty untill proven innocent!

They have cops using their handhelds to record them enough that the convicts don't really pick up on it. That or they're just too drunk or crazy to notice.

When will the mental institutions come back?? We have a few but obviously not enough! It's just a shame to have the ones who need them be able to walk the streets.
the way they determine is a person is going to get mental health care is sad. from ecperience working in health care, and having the experience of spending 72 in a facility, was " diagnosed" and prescribed meds. and i have a friend who is bipolar and says he does not need help.
