Great information! Im also building a Kitfox and I'm a little bit further along. I'm now starting on the wings. Keep it up and keep those videos coming along. Blue skies!
You can. In fact, in Kitfox's own build video (ua-cam.com/video/AZTHSmcggc4/v-deo.htmlsi=TptXGbOBxnaWaKS9) they varnish before bonding the ribs in. In the manual, the varnish step is after the bonding step, which is probably why I had done it in that order. If I was to go back to do it again, I'd varnish before bonding in.
Great content so far. What color powder coat did you elect for? Looks black but perhaps a non-gloss? Was there a particular site/article/reason which had you make the color choice you made?
Thanks! I got the flat black powder coat, and there was no particular reason other than I didn't want a colour like red or yellow. I could have gone for gloss black or gray just as easy.

Thanks for the kind words! Is there anywhere I can follow along with your build?
@@SwiftFoxBuildProject no, I’m not filming the build process
@@kitesurfjerry Have you a thread on the Kitfox forums or a log on the EAA Builder's Log website? Anything like that?
I wish I had a cnc friend, those jobs took me hours and hours of sanding and reaming by hand
Great video. Can I ask why one can’t varnish before securing the ribs?

Do you know people I might know 😀. I fly a kitfox based in Clifden. Will be watching your videos!
I probably do 😅 I think I found you on Instagram, and just sent you a message on there. Would be great to connect!
