115 Riddles

- 115 Riddles began as a trance track (no vocals) as I was learning a new synth. We put it into the"Turned" gamemode in Black Ops 2 once that came online.
A few months after this, I realized that it was very close in BPM to Kevin Sherwood's "Abracadabre"...so I edited the verses from that song into the trance piece which made it a lot cooler...
115 Riddles actually gave us the idea to do a dance remix of "Beauty of Annihilation" a few years later.
Most of the vocals are from "Abracadabre", but there are also samples from "115".

It’s the turned theme, thats’s what it’s known as. So it makes sense that it’s underrated.

Great track, Mr. Tuey! On the journey to becoming a film/tv/game composer and this summer writing a trance track is definitely on my list! Will get me way out of my comfort zone!

@@briantuey3999 It was honestly a ton of fun to create last summer and a nice change of pace from the orchestral tracks I had been making! I think with all that I have learned over the last year production-wise, I can make something much better! Give me a week or so and I will have a new Trance track on my channel! :)

That's my favourite song I luv it so much when I play zombies in CW and seeing this song play I just keep make it repeat so much
This was the last song i heard before getting mauled by the Hellhounds on the Frozen Forest location on DOA2,thus reaching a new high score(04-03-24).
Ironically enough this was the same type of round i reached on the original DOA in Black Ops(Hellhounds).

Is it strange that on christmas morning when I got my PS4 and BO3 the first thing I wanted to do was play DOA2? Honestly probably not but when I got to that special round with the barrels I damn near died because I was too invested in the music, didnt think I'd ever hear the little Turned track again with a great upgrade to it including Abracadavre and 115 in there, but hey it WAS Christmas Morning.
Originally this track was just a trance track that I used to learn Omnisphere. It was a few months after I wrote this that I realized that Abracadavre was the same BPM so I put the verses in for fun. And because of that, I later remixed Beauty in a similar way, only that one was intended to have the vocals from the get go
@@briantuey3999 i know your beauty of annihilation is a bit divisive in the community but honestly I thought it fit the mood and atmosphere of the giant perfectly compared to the original Der Riese version.
@@projectkmr you can’t please everyone all the time. I get why some people weren’t into it, but the original still exists--nothing was ruined. I actually really liked the remixed version
I don't like this song because it's in cod and nostalgia, I actually just love the song in general, it fits my Techno/Dance taste in music. It also reminded me of the old madness animations in Newgrounds. 2:05 gave me goosebumps, really just a great song :)

@@Gricey1998 lmao yeah, I got a lot further and now I think the 2 that end me the most is shadow boogie and the one where the zombies and meatballs come out of the blood lake.

Was a synthesizer called Nexus used in this? I know that arpeggio in the buildup before the vocal part.
I do use Nexus (one of my favorites synths ever), but I'm not sure if I had it when I made this song. That might be Omnisphere.
