When the power lines were built, machinery was run through the peat lands to clear vegetation which breaks up the integrity of the soil. Turns it to soup.
High voltage power lines directly overhead of the rescue excavator. Fookin' yikes! I think there was plenty of clearance from the powerlines, but sometimes it's hard to tell on video. They did ok getting out of that mess with one extra digger. I've seen videos where they call in a bigger digger and two heavy duty rescue trucks to pull a digger out of the mud.
TeamGorilla18 Is there any way that I could get a copy of this video to present to my loggers when I am teaching continuing ed classes? It'd be a good video to show water issues and equipment. I don't know how many places will have internet connect to get to youtube to show your awesome videos that way.
If you took that machine in the swamp i was in today you would not get your machine back ide just be gone lol my homie sunk 3 or 4 ft in .5 seconds and hes only 220 240 pounds
Another Scab contractor undercutting professionals with rental equipment and no skills. No PPE, no matting, wrong shoes on excavator, cutting outside of ROW, no environmental controls in place etc.
@@HudsonFamily7 Thanks for the informative assessment of my comments. Construction is necessary but so is working in accordance with defined state and federal guidelines regarding personal safety and minimizing runoff from construction sites into surrounding environmental areas. These are in place so that these workers, wildlife and natural resources are protected while necessary infrastructure projects take place. This is the responsibility of the employee and employer.
Thats what happens when you have a JACK LEG OPERATOR! Just because you can move it, don't make you an OPERATOR!!!
This is why you never buy a used machine from a rental company!
It's called swamp matts. They keep you on top.
Trees work just fine for the NC swamps
Even I, who have only watched them...know there's a wrong and a right way to do that!!
Anyone with a clue wouldn’t go in that without a lot of pads in place!
Awww, those two excavators were holding hands. How sweet!
Darn it Joe , l told you not to go down that hill.!.
Excellent job walking it out!.
someone didn’t get their deposit back
Got to love rental equipment!
When you get mud up over the top of the tracks open the door too the door can get jammed shut from the mud when you swing around
“Next time you need a swamp drained, just call Einstein and Einstein!”
You've pass the test now you are evacuator operator
The phrase “ridden hard and put up wet” comes to mind with rental equipment. Prime example here
So who goes into that kind of mud without mats? SMH!
somebody that doesn't own it ? wannabe's
These morons
That's why they don't own equipment and just rent it.
What were they trying to do anyway
That clay swamp water will eat any machine.
Blue Line rental can't be too happy. At least they have Dan Bilzarian out there with a chainsaw cameo.
Hope you had good insurance.
Don't even get me started, dam stupid people think they are operators,if were the rental company I'd make him buy it
Serious: Why are power lines always found around this kind of slop? I'd love to know.
When the power lines were built, machinery was run through the peat lands to clear vegetation which breaks up the integrity of the soil. Turns it to soup.
And how did the door panels get dented in.... here's your sign....

When you think you’re an operator goes wrong
He didn't even know his thumb was hitting the boom!!, he would never get fired working for me because he would never get hired
That is what you get when they don't have the monthly payment
Why would u try to go thru that!!!
