- In this Lego showcase, we take a look at the 1998 Hydro Crystalation Station.

Honestly, I think they should have never stopped using the shaped base plates. Now, the only variations it seems that you can get are flat base plates and some with streets on them.
Now that's a very well made showcase. I especially love the scene were the manta ray passes buy, and by doing so makes the fan turn! That blew me away.
jokes aside, very nice work, as a child I loved Aquanauts but didn't really pay attention to Hydronauts... I realize how much I miss. I mean I didn't even know LEGO released a suction cup gimmick! That's so cool, little kid me would have loved that!

i had this set for years i never knew that little rail cart went in the ship lol. my parents teased me with this one :P one year they just got me some cheap few dollor Halloween decorations for my birthday which i liked but they said that was it. i started to cry since i thought that all i was getting. i wasnt an ungrateful kid by no means either but being 7 i didnt understand lol. they told me to check my room and this lego set was on my bunk bed :P to this day its still my favorite lego set.
