  • Ex-Israeli Soldier discusses militant Zionism and the dehumanization of the self, which allows for the atrocities that we are seeing on the ground. We also rag on Liberals on this one again. One of my favorite past-times. Thanks to Yuval Manns for coming on. Links below:

They just call these people self hating jews. The fact that term even exists should be a hint to how disgusting this whole thing is. It's like, this is a homeland for our people! But only if you're happy to be subservient to our whims and wishes. If not, you hate yourself.

I’m a 27 year old woman who was trained in Air Force JROTC and ROTC. I’m currently an Air Force officer in limbo waiting for the AF to decide what they want to do with me. I joined thinking I could be a doctor and save people, never hurt them. At one point, I realized how stupid it was to think I was a hero for putting a bandaid on a kid that was bombed by an AF fighter jet.
I was brain washed and it’s terrifying having to throw away everything I learned about my career.
Im no longer in medical school and I’m waiting on the Air Force to determine how I can now serve the needs of the Air Force. I’ve accepted that I refuse to provide anything for the US DOD. I’m scared of what happens next. I’m meeting with a lawyer to discuss things. This video helps me not feel alone.

There are many active duty personnel and veterans who reject how the politicians in DC and the weapons manufacturers steer the military toward these horrific misadventures, such as supporting Israel. And it is no coincidence that people like you are NEVER platformed in the mainstream media.
Good luck to you... I hope you can find a solution to your dilemma.

You are very brave and you are lucky that you realized this early on. I wish I knew how to help you more. Perhaps you should set up a gofundme? Even going public and perhaps doing some podcast interviews (if your lawyer thinks it wise) would help your fight. It would also let those like yourself know that you're not alone and you may even save some others from joining; all that knowledge you have gained could save them with much more than a bandaid. At the very least, I hope you know that you have thousands and thousands supporting your fight. Solidarity.

As the war machine keeps turning
      Death and hatred to Mankind
      Poisoning their brainwashed minds...
      Oh Lord yeah!
      Politicians hide themselves away
      They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

My dad served in the US army, very briefly. His father, my granddad, was a major general and dad was a rebellious teen so he was enlisted in hopes he would straighten up. Dad was dishonorably discharged for using drugs. He always said the only thing he learned from his time in the army was how to properly clean a cast iron skillet and how to peel potatoes quickly 😂 He could peel a potato faster than you’d believe and his cast iron pan that he got when he enlisted was kept in pristine shape for the rest of his life. I inherited it after he died in 2015.

I wonder if Yuval feels the Israeli government knew of the attack and let it happen so they could level Gaza and allow the Ben Gurion canal to be built? Also, the Israelis buying land in Cypress, not the northern occupied area, the Greek area. Also, buying land in Turkey…. This is the first I’ve heard an IDF soldier who I felt really understood the inhumanity of Israel’s occupation. I’m softened a bit to those like him. I honestly thought all Israelis hated Palestinians across the board, so thank you!

Check out Miko Peled and Eran Efrati, ( if you haven't already). Both have been interviewed by Abby Martin regarding their books, but also continue today. They are two men who are former soldiers turned peace activists. I haven't found the same spotlight on female soldiers with changed perspectives except a documentary from, "wocomoHUMANITY" channel, the video title starts as, " Israeli women soldiers give shocking...". The documentary, "Israelism" offers another perspective from Americans indoctrinated by the political ideology. One of the people from that, Simone Zimmerman, had a really good discussion with Matt Lieb at his show, "Bad Hasbara". His sometimes co-host, Daniel Maté, also continues his own work, including being a guest at, "Yálla!" Both Maté and Lieb played clips and spoke with journalist, Katie Halper, regarding "Bad Hasbara". Another person, Canadian writer, Naomi Klein, has emphasized the importance of media literacy. Israeli journalist, Gideon Levy, has stated in interviews that the Israeli public is both sheltered from the truth and censored from questioning the false narratives. This censorship obviously takes courage to challenge. Hopefully people will keep at it, and find support. The Maté men, Daniel, his journalist brother, who works with Halper and also at "The Grayzone" with Max Blumenthal: Aaron, and their dad Gabor had a discussion as well. Yes, they are from Canada, though what was mentioned was similar to what Yuval, Naomi Klein, and historian, Ilan Pappé, - and others acknowledge: a political ideology that weaponizes generational trauma is an abusive relationship that participants have to consciously recognize and change to avoid perpetuating the dynamics.

it been proven IDF knew about the attack and there was drone surveillance of Hamas training days before it happened for that attack, so they knew of it, they knew it all, and all IDF guards by the fence were gone that day, so they clearly led them into the area! no discussion about this.

When mark says this is what it must have been like in history when people went nuts. It's so easy for it to be set off too. Like the the Americans and the indigenous population. I am Turkic. I have a few late relatives who were from Turkey. Same thing there with the Armenian Genocide. Though it's kind of something they don't ever talk about there. They basically exiled a bunch of Armenians, many of whom starved to death. But because they were fighting each other, they won't admit that was not at the very least an ethnic cleansing, if not a genocide. They just freaked out during and after WWI and wanted all the Armenians gone. Or most of them for sure. Fear. It makes a lot of people lose their minds, their humanity, their dignity, their honor. It can make them ruthless and cold. The Israelis are lashing out because they are paranoid and terrified, but most of them don't seem to comprehend that they have been making the Palestinians feel like that for over 75 years. It should be a wake up call. And it is for some. Sadly it's only a small minority though.

Some of the response of the Israelis may be becasue they suddenly realized they are not that safe. All the talk of an Iron Dome and weaponry and yet resistance fighters in tennis shoes and a small amount of gear made it through the fencing and to the IOF headquarters in the area and taking hostages along the way out. Now there must be worse fear with attacks on the West Bank and Ben Gurion being hit by a drone.

Feel like I am having a Star Wars hallucination.. "fear leads to anger, anger to hate and hate leads to suffering" .. but Yuval is right, hope should extend beyond one's lifetime.. don't get corrupted young man ✊

Great podcast. This was so interesting I learned so much from a different perspective which maybe I needed because it took some of the hate out of me. And that hate was changing me. His perspective was really good for me really healing and kind of brought me back to myself. It was great

Thanks guys, this was excellent to watch. Genuine and heartfelt. i wish all Israeli society were more like Yuval!
But i would love to ask just one question. Why do the US and western democracies ignore voices like Yuval's in Israel, who are supposedly a lot more aligned with their principles, and instead choose to follow the majoritarian views? knowing they are not humanitarian, legal, or democratic even.
Great stuff guys. Thank you very much.

Yes, I’m seeing similar themes today to what happened after 9/11. It took a fair amount of time to learn about the actions of US foreign policy and how they contributed to the attacks. That helped me to see through the propaganda for going into Afghanistan and Iraq and how it resulted in more Islamophobia. It was a weird time. These days feel like deja vu.
Thank you, all of you, for doing what you do here. Yuval, I really appreciate hearing your story and it was very helpful.
I like the idea of psychedelics!

Guys, a few days ago, Ilan Pappe was talking on the Electronic Intifada, and he, as a researcher of the isrseli society, said that account to the recent polls it's 97% who are supporting the direction of the government and 70% say that the government is not using enough force. Also even though some are against Netanyahu they still racist maniacs
