Oh, Ghana. Why couldn't someone tell them that putting up a wall while defending a free kick also includes putting another player lying on the ground behind the wall? Banda's free kick went under the wall when it jumped, but another player behind the wall would have stopped it. I hope you've learned that lesson now! Other than that, what a spirited performance from Ghana's Black Queens!

The performance of Catherine Musonda was awful. All 3 goals she allowed yesterday could have been stopped by Hazel Nali. This woman has now allowed 14 goals in the last 5 games going back to the World Cup (5 against Japan, 5 against Spain, 1 against Coasta Rica and 3 against Ghana)

Just recently, Nigeria couldn't beat Morocco or South Africa, teams Zambia has eaten for breakfast over the last few years. Zambia scored 8 goals in 2 games against Morocco in September 2023 lol
As for the Afcon champions SA, ask them they will tell you we have beaten them too many times of late, and they only beat us in the AFCON after a controvertial last minute penalty after we dominated them for 90 mins.

We have always had problems in defense. I have said that Lushomo should be moved to right full back, excellent defender that she is, and a good, big central defender found to help Musase in the middle. Margaret Belemu needs to put in defensive midfield.

The game lasts 90 minutes. If they do not like the result, the should petition the gods of the game have it officially reduced to 89 minutes in length.

poor defence from goalkeeper to back 4..... all goals were due to poor defence... first goal as a defender you have to show her towards the corner.... second goal either keep tight or keep her in offside... you are not tight and played her on side... 3rd goal poor wall and goalkeeper not talking about the wall.... Zambia has a lot of talent and very strong players in the team but the tactics we employed of Chipantepante were not helping us. Good interchange of passes between our players could have helped shake off the Ghanian defence that was clinging on to our star players unlike just aimlessly kicking the ball to the front.
Grace Chanda should be placed in the midfield! Wish her a speedy return to football after her recovery and let her be included in the next encounters. Congratulations to the Copper Queens! A point is what was needed and you got it!

Thr goals that Catherine Musonda were defensive errors. First goal unfortunately our right back was too short to head that ball. Second goal the centre backs blocked the keepers view. Third goal was an own goal. The ball hit a Zambian defender and changed durect.
Howver the keeper must improve on communication and must be decisive when dealing with high balls across the goal area.
We have good strikers but there is need to work on the passes in the midfield thats all...

The copper queens are more of long balls than passing, and our kind of football display is slowly getting known by other teams.

The foul was committed before the added time elapsed, obviously the ref had to wait for the free kick to be taken before finishing the game. There was also a red card involved and all that time had to be compensated

There were lapses in all the three goals Ghana conceded. First failed to release ball. Second goal poor marking and thirth poor defending.
Who qualified?
Ghana keeper denied them the qualification. Imagine ghana scoring 3 goals away but their keeper was so poor, the 2nd and 3rd goal she would have done better, for the 2nd goal, the keeper should have remain in her post cus the defenders are already covering she wouldn't have come out, the 3rd goal was so poor a very low and weak free kick in which the keeper should have save.
Our first choice keeper is injured. This second goalie doesn't have too much exposure. She did her best though

Guys this stadium cost us $ 0.5 billion. The grounds keeper needs to be fired for allowing the grass to be of this condition. It is dry and yellow, in Ndola, a city that has plenty of water (the Kafubu River is full and doing well), receives a lot of rain, and this is the rainy season. Someone is not doing his job and he needs to be fired.

Goalkeeper should up her game. She allowed goals she was supposed to stop.
There were too soft on 50/50 occasions, that really cost them, looking at the second goal for Zambia, a whole two players allowing a Zambian to pass through and look at the pass she gave to the striker.
And the defenders were also not atletic enough especially from the second goal , they could have done better for stopping that ball after the goal keeper was beaten

Those two players are on recovery from World Cup last year. Please search for more talent in the mid &, defense. Catherine Musonda must work on aerial balls and command her space otherwise two Ghana goals are defense lapses.
Nali is worse than Catherine. I have followed her since the Olympics. Musole (3rd) choice is better, she was superb against Brazil at the Olympics. The TP Mazembe one is also good.
