What's interesting about this is that it could also be written as: *"He goes to school by car."* _(without any articles whatsoever)._ However, I think she confused the answer with question 6. *"John travelled by train."* _(further stating "by train, by bus, by boat" after asking the question at [__1:53__])_ to question 25's answer as they are similar. Although the article *"a"* doesn't seem to be a typo here, and as you correctly observed, the answer should be *"c) in"* in that sentence.
