I`ve got 12 iPollo V1 Mini SE WiFi 200Mh@116Watt an they are running pretty fine.
GPU Mining forever, but a admixture with Asics will be great.
Its important to get the SE Version with 6GB DAG-Size run till 2031.
The non SE Version with 3.6GB works till 10 Mai 2024, a really bad buy in my view.

You did not talk about electric price. 100W 24H/24 for a year and 4 month is about 200$ easy.
I mean people were dumping almost 3k in 3090's at desperate times of the shortage.. I think if you believe in ETC then however you mine it it could make sense regardless. A $170 mini for mining 16 months with a potential of ETC rebounding isn't the worst thing assuming ETC even just 2x's or more, ATH seems less likely but crazier things have happened.. I don't know if we bull Kummrocktmoonshot like 2020 ever again... maybe similar but not as juiced as alt season circa 2020.

You can run sha256, and scrypt asics at the moment. Of course the ipollos mine etc, so just like using a gpu.

I have three of them running right now. I want to get more of them but think I should probably save up and get the ones with the larger vram. Crazy to see how low in price they have gotten. I think for a year of mining they are pretty worth it though.

Like I was so tempted to get this and actually almost bought it up till like I found out about how low the memory was and how high the dag size was already for ETC so I realize that’s why it was so cheap
Just buy 170$ worth of ETC right now and you wont have a paper weight when the Dag time is up. And i still benefit from all time highs.
If price goes up, difficulty will go up with it. But with the dag size issue the asic is a paper wieght regardless

The only Ipollo anyone should consider is the V1 mini SE Plus, 400mh and 6gb ram. None of the ETC miners make any sense.
Thats the one I was considering but the Jasminer X4-1U has 520mh, 240w at the same price. So I'm still on the fence.

i dont see how the math works where any of these ROI... like virtually any ASIC... they are all priced to never ROI and if they do in "2 years" by then they wont because there will be 5 other models that have raised the difficulty and such.
So unless you are getting ASICs for free then they are a bad investment... imagine all the suckers, I mean poor folks that bought them this time last year for full price... wowzers...
You're also disregarding your electricity costs of mining those 6 ETC. Not only did you pay $700 for the ASIC, you also probably paid $100+ in electricity. So the real cost is over $800. Just buying ETC with that money would have been a much better idea.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that 6GB 300MH on their site says it's for EtHash. It's doesn't specify ETC at all. Would that even work? Or would it be worthless from the time you hit purchase?
Ethash is the algorithm for etc, eth, ethpow, basically anything in that algorithm.

My ipollo miners (2 x SE, 2 x SE Plus) are the only profitable miners in my farm. You can put them on 2miners for BTC payout, dual mine Zil to stake, etc. Great miners

I don't think it makes sense because of the DAG size - basically after May 2024 this miner becomes a worthless paperweight. Better to get something else that will have several years of life left in it.
