AI's stories used to be at least somewhat imaginative. Now it's always the same "family is family", "you're selfish" or everyone goes to that legendary cafe to "talk it out"
They did not use his money. They had been saving to match his savings. The spent their own money that they had set saide for his College fund. Oddly it does not say (but is inferred) that his sister had her college taken care of by the 'rents.
cant in America, parents have to be on their kids bank accounts as joint holders. so parents can and do steal their kids money just before the kid turns 18
This story makes no sense. All the arguments that they had and the OP saying that they took their college fund. Then she claims at the end that she didn't know? On top of this the OP was told by the Aunt that the sister already knew and suggested it to the parents at the beginning to use the college fund to pay for the renovations. And if the Sister and her Husband have the money to to "loan" to the OP, why then did they not pay for the renovations themselves? I call BS on this one.
There comes a time when your Parents mess up so badly that a genuine 100% real apology does not cover the damage. His parents did just enough to make him back off and save their ego.
First his sister weeks before the wedding tells him to get over his parents stealing his college fund. Then the day before the wedding she tells him she had no idea until that day?
How much you want to bet, her husband found out the full story and threatened to leave if she didn't make it right? That's probably why she looked so bad with chipped polish.
Seriously, OP shouldn't have to pay back that crap sister considering his parents stole his money for her wedding. I know this story is fake, but I could barely get through it. It should have been, BIL and sister pay OP's college fund and kept their BS entitlement to themselves!
I would report the theft to the police, as it is a felony. He has proof that he earned the money and saved it for college, but his parents took the money for his sister's wedding without his consent.

Damn i was thinking the same thing
True, hearing this is like a punch to the gut!
You're tearing the family apart. Family helps family. Fammmmmleeee
I call BULLSHIT on this story. If OP saved money and his parents used HIS money fucking SUE THEM

I would’ve sued them and they would’ve paid the sister back

OP should have told his family he's unable to attend the wedding because he has to work even harder because they stole his money.
Why did OP think that taking a loan from is sister to replace his money spent on her wedding was a good idea. This way he ends up paying twice!

@ exactly what it is. Though the AI wanted to make it like his sister actually cared 🤣

This is another of those stories of favoritism that remind us that the golden child isn't necessarily a bad person.Good ending.

Sue them put a lien on their house
Some are lucky to get a collage fund and go to college, unlike lower middle class like my family who can barely afford food and home lol
It was money he had earned they stole.
@mimiwhite1963 yeah but I ment the money they offered wasn't his
A nice addition to the genre. Reconciliation is underutilized as a plot point.
didnt hear the classic "felt like a punch to the gut"
Was the college fund the one Jordan earn or was it the one his parents promised him?
Why do you sue your pants for that?
"Family Values" only works one way
He's a freakin wimp
Maybe... Just maybe... This some bs... 😅 Sorry, but everyone sucks in this story...
Stop stretching a already bad story. More than 50% is totally useles
