- As I enter into this new chapter and new year, I'm ready for a fresh start! I bought a new car, got rid of half my wardrobe, and now... I'm making the first real change to my hair in 3 years?! It feels so good to get rid of the dead weight and I'm beyond excited for more prep for 2024.

A leave in conditioner and a wet brush would really help with the tangles!
This hair routine was very stressful to watch 😂
She’s using a wet comb; they are great for wet curly hair, “Cala” wet dry brushes brushing first then that type of wet comb works amazing and less hair loss for thinner/thick hair!
Pro tip, brush your hair in the shower with conditioner and it'll be so much easier to brush after and then comb right after the shower, don't let it be wrapped up in the towel while you walk around, that's probably why you had so many tangles. Also please buy some leave in conditioner, you'll thank yourself. ❤
I used to not brush my hair as often and would have to spend soooo long combing it after my shower and my hair is to my butt crack! So I know the struggle babe ❤

Girly, that use to be me! I use conditioner in the shower and a condition spray when I get out. I use a microfiber towel wrap instead of normal towels when drying my hair. And I use a wet brush to brush out my hair. All of these steps make such a difference! 😊

When your hair is wet with conditioner (after you shampoo) try combing it with a wide tooth comb. Its so easy I promise

Hi, I don't know that I would brush my hair with that tool when wet. Long or short, wet hair is fragile and more prone to breaking. If you prefer to brush it wet, get a wet brush and brush your hair right after conditioning it, when your hair is the slickest. You'll still lose a little bit of hair but that's totally normal. But it won't be as much hair and it won't take you so long, either. I would also do a condition mask once a week to help with frizz and strengthening the strands. Once it's brushed and you're out of the shower, use a microfiber towel to soak the excess water. I do a micro-plop, with my head upside down and I scrunch the towel up into the strands, which gives it a bit of a natural wave and since I'm not actually pulling at the strands, it lessens frizz, too. Your haircut is gorgeous and I totally understand the desire to giving yourself a cut that's less maintenance. I don't even have a kid and I don't want to spend that much time on my hair.

I really it's very common for new Mom's to get a major haircut. I did the same, a lot of friends did as well. I got mine cut because the baby constantly would pull my hair LOL

Do you use conditioner? You can put it on your ends only. It’s not good for your hair to rake your comb through it like that. That’s why you’re losing so much, you’re pulling it out! Lol.
My hair is long too and only knots up like that after I’ve been swimming; pool, beach, it’s doesn’t matter. Try Silk Elements olive oil heat protectant spray when you’re hair is wet. It helps the comb run right through my hair, it’s amazing!!! And it smells really nice too.

Wet brush and brushing with conditioner makes a huge difference. Brushing it with that type of brush you’re using May be causing more damage, you should not need to pull as hard you are, wet brush is your best friend.
We have the same problem when wash hair day what I did usually since our water is from well unfiltered water after I wash my hair I put oil and cream from olaplex #6 & #7 and blow dry it. Don’t comb it while it’s soaking wet cuz it’ll more likely you’ll have hair falls.. I love watching your video! ❤

I have really long hair which knots easily, but I've found using Aussie Leave In Hair Conditioner Spray - means that I no longer have to fight when combing my hair (like your were doing at the start). Hopefully you can get it over there in the states. ❤

Cathrin, use leave in conditioner when detangling your hair. My son has curly hair and it’s the only way I can detangle it. Since your son is mixed, it’ll probably work really well for him too when his hair gets longer.

Hello, Cathrin! Always enjoy your videos, and I think your hair color & style is gorgeous! My hair is falling out too and that just drives me crazy, but I'm trying to grow it out mostly 'for my man'. The last time my hair was long was when I was a pre-teen and I'm 57 yrs old now....eeks. So now it's all about covering those grays, baby! Longer hair + grays + hair dye = MORE money a month....UGH
Giiirl, I totally recommend brushing your hair with conditioner/mask on. It’s such a nicer and faster procedure. Telling from my experience with dry and damaged hair❤
