I'm about to turn 60, and that has to be the best era of my life!....so far!...😉
Yes it’s ok for us at this age but how would you have felt if you were 20🤷♀️ had a taste of normal to be thrown into this crazy stuff

Purple Oms & Yellow californias, then the coke, spoilt the scene.
that's the difference between e's and coke it went from we to me...
best yrs 88 to 94. acid house was just brilliant 😁
Acciiieeeed!!!!
I moved to London '89 and experienced it first hand. It was a fantastic time!
Glad you enjoyed the podcast. 👏 Thanks, Shaun. I see in the comments that people have some questions about myself, I am more than happy to answer some of them, just reply with the question and next week I'll post a video on ua-cam.com/users/APFMedia answering as many as I can. Thank you all for your supportive comments.
Can anything like it explode again? The country is crying out for a real scene like 88. 😉
@Mark Smith 110% where still here just alittle older,in the times where in its crying out for a boom back
I was squatting Camden st in 1980s.. the world's end .. and steels in kentish town
Buzz club at buzbys
Acid house I was there Sunrise biology weekend world Best time of my life 😊🔥💯
Hackney & Bethnal Green Road best ever in 1990s.
The 90s was the best 🔈🙌🏻
Yes!! Fucking amazing days!! Pure MDMA!!! NOTHING LIKE IT EVER!!! I REALLY WISH I COULD GO BACK!!!
Big up for this!! Loved watching it!!
Incredible memories!!! I was 15 in 89, so wasn't quite old enough to join the acid house scene but I was the perfect age for the hardcore movement that followed on its heels. But I was always listening to the tapes if these events because my friends had older siblings who went to them! Fucking amazing time. ❤
Brilliant stories. Interesting stuff, thanks!
It was always interesting to me that it was linked to drugs - I know that many people enjoyed E and although I went to clubs/parties in '88, I didn't take drugs then (I did much later, though) - I was (am!) hypnotized by just the music: Specifically the TB303 sound, so that was what kept me dancing all night.
When I first head Acid House, it was a revelation to me! (We Are Phuture by Phuture was the first I remember)
I used to have people come up to me at raves and ask if I was on one or wanted some or knew where to get some E but I was merely high on youth, ha ha!
Splendid days/daze!
🙂
(Another funny thing: When emoji's began being widely used firstly on mobiles and then on social media and I saw the smiley face, all I could think was Acid House and it's the same nowadays. Every time, ha ha ha!)
The dungeons 😊
Excellent interview 👌. What a chain of events.. fascinating stories.
Thanks Shaun❤️
Peaceful, crazy, fun all gone! Next 🤷♀️
He looks like a version of Marco Van Basten
I mean he looks like a fat version of marco van basten
Bring Genesis and Sunrise back. ❤
Still think the first Sunrise at Centre Pod in Milton Keynes was the best one that I went to, there was also a good rave at Middle Row Olde Bus garage in Ladbroke Grove which was good as well.
As an American it is hard to understand the different accents in your country. I know I only understand 75% of the story.
I love your channel and hope I will pick it up eventually.
It’s all about the Cockney
BRING IT BACK I BEG YOU WHAT A CHILDHOOD WELL WHAT I CAN REMEMBER 😂👌👌👌
Yeahhhhhh man
best yet
AP from what I've worked out listening to his interviews was making shitloads of cash from ecstasy distribution until his warehouse got raided and he did one to Jamaica. Like major, major money. He could have tried to get a license for legal rave promotions and carried on the Genesis brand but the drug connections he made meant the real money was in the pills, not the raves or club nights. Any E's anybody took in the early 90's had a good chance of being connected to him.
The Hippo in Wales anyone!!!???
Having watched your channel for the last 6 months or so, this story is a breath of fresh air to watch :) As a big EDM fan for the last 25 yrs, these rave stories are awesome to hear about...loving this content on here!
He's defo right about the Camden,88/89 the place to be on a friday night, was normally full by 10pm on a friday, you had to get down there early, I remember going there as Acid House broke and there was literally a riot outside as soo many people were locked out,Camden was definitely the unsung hero of Acid House with Chris Paul on the decks, I use to go up North and thought the Hacienda wasn't a patch on the Camden in it's hey day but hey maybe it's because I'm a Londoner...
If we could only turn the clocks back.
Did anyone here go to Verbeer manor back in the day?
I did indeed
@@harrycallaghan22 they had all the top DJ's playing there at the time till it was on the Cook Report and got shut down. The Sasha and John Digweed nights were the best.
The title is alot to digest lol.
Haha! I know Patrick, he is a good friend of mine. Sunrise man. 😂 I remember all of these times. DOVE CREW!
Omg memories.... 😎 Paul for music 🎶Mervyn jazzy M Oxford hse Bethnal Green quality 💯%
Yellow callie hellooooo my old friend.
Indeed, they were my fav 😋
White doves where mine, I’m 52 from SE9 and was driving home from work today thinking I would love to do one more ( haven’t touched drugs in years and years) the pure bliss you got from it. I only used to do one a night and I hated the come down when I was stuck up in London and just wanted to get home 😂 maybe I should have had a few more ! Happy days though….the best ❤
@paul-ie6wi I think if I did one more burst I'd have to call an ambulance hehe. London early to mid 90s was great for clubbing. I look back with fond memories and thank god there were no mobile phones to record us on.
@@MrJustsaysean hahahahah true, I stopped doing drugs years ago as I said and 7 weeks ago I gave up the booze…..mate I’m fucking bored now, sipping fruit tea every night but it had to be done. Overheard 2 old guys in a boozer say once “ you spend 40yrs trying to kill yourself then the next 40 trying to stay alive” ! I can relate to that .
@paul-ie6wi you can do it if you really want to quit. I quit the cigs 2 yrs ago, ain't easy but I've got this far and I'd be bloody annoyed if I went back. You can do it too but you need a purpose to keep you going. Good luck
The least shocking thing is how incompetent the police are in these stories hahaha
Who’s still listening to this podcast in 2099
North west was where it happened ..not cockney town😂
Amazing to hear this !! ❤❤❤
This bloke has definitely taken something? Lol...
