      Gilber refers to the coach Tyronn Lue as: this guy numerous times in an interview. At the trophy acceptance he's got his kids front row and center with the Trophy LEBRON and crew won. He thanks the FRONT Office before he thanks the soldiers in his camp who won the championship - he thanks them as LeBron James and the Cavaliers. WOW, no time to say the names individually. LeBron took that trophy away from him, not a moment too soon actually--- and rightly so. (And frankly, I'm personally looking forward to seeing the deal James' structures with that franchise b/c they need to PAY. And not --- any 30 million either. Hear me now!)

    I think Dan Gilbert should have owned up to the letter and apologized to Lebron on the stop about it when Doris Burke brought up the letter. Lebron could have easily kept winning rings elsewhere but he came back for the city. Plus the Cavs never built him a team built to win a finals. Of course he was gonna leave, so why get mad when he did? It would be like the Lakers blasting Howard and Gasol for leaving, they caused it. I would not have anything against Lebron if he leaves again.

    I astutely was pointing out the same last night. Case in point, LeBron screams out "everybody off the stage, team photo!" Players, coaches, trainers etc. join in, and in the top corner to LeBron's left and above him, Gilbert sneaks in. LeBron immediately, as if he could sense it, looks over his left shoulder, upwards, and sees Gilbert. His whole facial perception changed immediately, to the point that he caught himself, knowing cameras are lurking. Definitely is not over the Gilbert fiasco, and he may leave due to it.

      He came back to prove the people wrong and win a chip in Cleveland. Now that he's done it, he will leave Cleveland.... If I was lebron I would join the clippers.....or the lakers depending who they pick up for the starting line up.knowing lebron he's probably trying to resurrect a team from the brink in order to further advance his legacy

      Gilbert also avoided questions about the letter like a plague and the way LeBron took the championship from Gilbert's family made me believe that they have a working relationship & that's it. Seems like Gilbert wants the world to forget how he acted towards LeBron and it seems like LeBron wants Gilbert to know that he is the LAST person that he wants to win a title for. This title was for Cleveland, not him.

      Yes Gilbert did mean every word of it. Has the thought crossed any sports writers mind yet, that he might have been right. One thing I can't help but notice is that Le Bron knew that letter was up for 4 years and still called Dan Gilbert to work out a way to return to Cleveland, not the other way around. It was petty as shit to write and leave that letter on the site for all that time, but just because it was classless doesn't automaticly make it untrue.

    The fact that he went back to Cleveland after what Gilbert wrote made me have even more respect for Lebron and the fact that gilbert NEVER publicly apologized, shows what a petty, entitled COWARD he is. I get it that feelings were hurt, but to go out and publicly EVISERATE a person's CHARACTER??? LeBron is a better person that I because I would have NEVER even THOUGHT about going back. I think some owners like Gilbert forget that they only OWN the Franchise not the PLAYER!!

    I think it'd be awesome with the power LeBron has in Cleveland now if he leveraged him coming back to Cleveland, but Dan Gilbert has to step down as primary owner....LeBron wins either way he can leave and no one blames him (Dan Gilbert's the stubborn owner who thinks he's bigger than Cleveland) or he gets to stay home and can have retribution towards Gilbert for writing that letter

    • @msmarch33192
      @msmarch33192 8 років тому

    • @joshuafaust2652
      @joshuafaust2652 8 років тому

    • @msmarch33192
      @msmarch33192 8 років тому

      I read the letter. I'm a Cavs fan my whole life. Dan Gilbert has an asset that is gaining in value. As much as we fans love what Labron has done for us, we are still a lot more worried about the wrong person owning our team and moving it. We know he isn't going to do that so I and many others I know of would back Gilbert in that power play.

    I think that letter will forever haunt Dan. LeBron came back because he wanted to win one for Cleveland and he did that and he could leave. That letter Gilbert wrote was all put disrespectful. LeBron was a free agent and nobody wanted to come to Cleveland so he did the right thing and left. I applaud LeBron for being the bigger person and doing something that was bigger than Gilbert. That is something that LeBron and his buddies won't forget. I hope he stays because that team has a chance to go back to back but if he leaves I won't be mad and I will completely understand.

    This deal about Dan Gilbert ripping LeBron in this letter was wrong I believe is false. We have lamented players leaving their ball clubs forever and certainly been vocal about it. Dan Gilbert believed there was a lack of loyalty and publically mentioned this. His right. We were not in their meetings together. Who knows what was said?

    The "Letter" as it's now known had the strong overtones of a Slave Master mad that his slave had the nerve to fight for his freedom and win it. Yes, LeBron's handling of the decision was wrong. Yes he owed the players, coaches and owners a heads up, even if minutes before announcing it himself. No, he shouldn't have done a TV special. Make an announcement and move on. But, he was a free agent. For the 1st time in his career, he controlled his own destiny and chose where he wanted to go. He earned that. Dan Gilbert will never live that letter down, partly because of the tone of it. He didn't thank LeBron for his 7 years and wish that things could've gone better. He didn't thank him for making millions of dollars and being a beacon for the youth in Cleveland and Akron. He trashed him, his friends, his fans, and wished doom and gloom on the rest of his career. If I'm LeBron, I never speak to Dan Gilbert again. You wanna talk to me? Talk to my agent.

    Lebron about care about Money and self proclaiming he is the greatest ever. He will leave in year to create mini all stall team to try and catch Jordan. Jordan and NBA at that time took pride in competition, not joining forces to win. They had their team with some great players. They built to team through hard working and changing small pieces to the pie. If Larry Bird called up Jordan at the end of the career to chase a final ring, he would be blasted forever for it. There is no drive fro true competition. The golden state warriors were built they teams should, through the draft and bench in free angency
