Quick show and tell showing off my own designed, fabricated and built Laser Rotary accessory. The design was inspired by the PiBurn v4 but is a 100% scratch design, all of the grey parts are resin 3D printed parts printed on my Form 2. The clear acrylic parts are all cut on my laser cutter which is a DIY built Further Fabrication Y-1200 with modifications.
The lift mechanism is simply a worm and spur gear train that drives a rack and pinion. The worm and spur are what allow the mechanism to stay in-place without any need of a locking mechanism.
