14 year veteran of selling at festivals and you asked some questions at the end, so here is my advise. DO NOT CHANGE spaces. Your customers will show up in your old spot and they will spend their money with the new person who has taken your spot, leaving less to spend with you when the find you later. Next, lose the walls because you are blocking customers view of your merchandise when they are walking down what appears to be a major walkway. Lastly, during the last hour or so of every show, I announce everything in my booth is half price. Before I announce it, I pull some items and go ahead and box them up- not a lot of items but some I paid up for or that I have customers for in my booths. I always make bank during the half off hour; I am still making a significant profit and I have less to pack up.
As a shopper joyhenkins9712 is right...do not change spaces. I have gone to shows where the vendor has moved and I spent my money elsewhere only to find they were in a new spot. Also agree about the walls blocking an outdoor view of your mdse. I didn't realize there was so much dust. Yikes ! The idea of last minute reductions is great for us shoppers maybe not for you. Have to weigh your options. You and your team are simply awesome at what you do. TFS
Well worth the wait to see your recap of Lucketts - what a fun event to follow online with you each year! I'm exhausted just watching the massive effort you, Mike and Tori put in to get there, get set up, work the show each day, then break down your booth, load it up and unpack again items that remain to be offered thereafter in your antiques mall booth. So impressive!
For your wall problem... find old windows and cut out holes in the walls and insert them for more lighting. You can use suction cup hooks to display things on the glass if needed.
Mike is just fabulous, really. I've said it before and I'll say it again, that man is a KEEPER!! Girl!!! He is sweet, funny, a hard worker, affectionate, and supportive of your business. I enjoyed seeing the footage of folks shopping your space...smalls were definitely moving. Loved seeing other businesses too. Bravo on a job well done!
Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes, people don’t realize how much work it is to participate in those shows as a vendor. And yes for open shelves, I realize it takes a lot of work but your items would be accesible to people, if they have to dig I feel that people would lose interest.
Mike is such a cool guy - so supportive; blue & white, brass, quirky, always sell for me - classic & timeless. Great video Amanda. You really capture the sheer amount of work it takes to do Luckett's.
Ahhh... watching it again ... Seeing the set up is great -- Now , the beauty shots & final reveal -- that can be watched over & over ... the color grades / grouped items / thinking of novel new displays ... all of it --' SO GOOD __ artistic / appealing /unique / bespoke items ... Ahhh !! Thank you -- you know how much we love all 3 of you ...
You most certainly ARE an expert!!!! For the back wall....would some sort of vintage looking wood fencing type of look work? It would let in more light and you could still hang things on it. I found (on a junk pile) some old fencing that had rounded tops to the slats and a decorative cutout circle at the top of each slat. The sections were also rounded at the top so that it gave a scalloped effect when they are put together. You could space the slats however you want. Thanks so much for sharing Lucketts with us!
Oh my word...I love the included bloopers at the end. I laughed so hard! Thanks for being real! I think that's why we love you Amanda! Mike is just amazing! You guys are perfect together! Loved seeing the show through your eyes! Thanks for your inspiration. 🥰👍💝
Mike is a gem. I love his sense of humor. You seem really happy these days, Amanda, and it's no wonder why. Having a supportive partner like Mike makes all the difference. You do beautiful work on your displays. I hope you've been able to lower your cost of goods and increase your profit margin over last year,'s. You do such amazing work, you deserve all the success in the world!
I do one show a year and know what that entails. I CANNOT imagine doing a LUCKETT show would be like. People would be surprised at the effort put into everything, but it’s SO addictive! You’re lucky to have such good help. I love your wall. Enjoyed your video!
You always do such a beautiful job of editing. I felt like I was there with you. I love how well your video conveys the work of doing such an event but also the marvelous antique and vintage items you've curated. The overall color story of your booth was terrific. Way Way back when I did art fairs I made 2x4 walls (hinged) for backdrop that were galvanized wire cloth covered. You could see through them, air flowed, and most stuff hung pretty well with S hooks. Maybe your walls could have windows cut in them?
Great job it's hard work buy for me that's what your abought you all work hard at it your pitch was amazing as usual keep going love love your videos cant wait to see more thank you Amanda Mike torry and your mum and dad a great team keep going
Amanda , you are a master at your craft! Im in SoCal but I would looove to shop your spaces. Wow, amazing work. And kudos to Mike, i need to show this to my BF so he wont complain about helping me at vendor events(He's getting there, lil by little). You cannot underestimate how important a supportive partner is. Having a small business is a lot of hard work with lots of heavy lifting involved. Your sis clothes are cute too. i specialize in vintage clothes so they definitely caught my eye. Great team effort. Congrats on another successful year at Lucketts!
You said something about the walls, how about every other panel, a window, a plexiglass window, real looking, maybe, sills above to stage and below them. Let's in light. Keep the space, folks, remember and look for you next year. You do a great job! They don't realize the time and effort it takes, It's fun, though, I now enjoy being the customer!
Your positive energy is radiating! This video was awesome and covered all the things I wanted to see...including your thoughts at the end. I had no idea so much construction was required. Great editing. Glad it was another success!
Here's an idea, instead of the light blocking wall. How about setting up the IKEA shelves, but staple screen material on the back so you can prop up things on it. It would still let in the light, and you could hang things on them as well if needed.
It's a bracket! 😉 And 'island piles' is totally going to be a trend in booth setups from now on! 🙌 Thanks so much for sharing! I so look forward to your videos coming out and all the tips and tricks you have to share! You've got a great style, you're so personable... keep doing what you're doing! We all love you!
I wouldn’t even know where to begin to set up something like this, not to mention all the goods you have to take with you to fill it up. Hope you made a killing.
Really Really Really BEAUTIFUL booth!!! There isn’t anyone else on UA-cam who Curates like you!!! I definitely missed watching your videos this spring… But now I know Why!!! You were BUSY buying gorgeous items!!! Just stunning!!! I love how you pull it all together so beautifully and your overall style is MILES above anyone else I’m finding on UA-cam!!! Keep up the incredible work!!! Shout Out to Mike… y’all are SO cute.
Your booth was awesome, thank you for showing us the show. I would love to attend at some point. I agree with you having Marian shop and give you a hug was great.
Great video! I love seeing how everything comes together from your mind to reality. Overall... did you meet your expectations for this market? A couple of things to consider re: the wall... it may be worth keeping in that spot if it also blocks the heat and glare as well as the light, keeps the wind out so you have less dust blowing around/through your space, and depending on the weather, keeps the cold out? If you move to the other side, will you be blinded by the glare all afternoon? Maybe you could cut channels in the wall to let in some light? Or leave a little space between each section? You could use a couple of feet of 2x4, say at the bottom half of each panel for stability (attached vertically between 2 sections), but still have light coming in from the gap left at the top half of each section - if that description makes any sense at all! Look at your raw footage to see if the neighboring booths with no walls had issues with light, wind, or glare. I'm so glad you sold those yellow chairs! I was really surprised they didn't sell the last time. I'm excited to go see all your LL (Luckett's Leftovers) at The Factory now that I'm local!! ❤
Thank you so much for the shout out!! I completely agree with everything you said in your recap. Furniture was slow moving, but the smalls flew off my shelves. I started with close to 20 pairs of brass candlesticks, and they were gone in no time! Had several sets of brass animals and they went fast too!! I always love being close to you and Mike!! Looking forward to the Fall market!!
Been looking forward to this, fantastic! Your booths are always so beautiful and well done and love the behind the scenes. So much work goes into these, I was tired just watching set up and take down. Used to do shows myself but it gets to be too much work moving furniture around in your 50s. Lol Thanks for sharing, like always your booth was my favorite. Wish I lived closer!
Thanks a million for this video it was worth watching, l love seeing how you work out your booth space, and having your friend there to also, l am happy the weather was on your side.... awaiting your next video 🙂....
Great show. I love all of your videos but Luckett's are favorites. You and Mike have such good chemistry and every show is twice the entertainment since you met him. 🌻
LOVE LOVE LOVE - ALL OF IT- I kept getting so scared it was going to end without us getting to see it all- Loved your space- Loved walking around seeing all the goodies, LOVED the set up and take down- Love Mike and Torie - cant Believe got to See Miss Mustard seed too... what a Wonderful video- THANK YOU for taking the time to share all of it with us!! Cant WAIT until the next video comes out!
You are magic! So fast too Do you dream about your set up? I struggle to get my displays done in a reasonable amount of time. You make it look effortless.❤ I know it's hard work!
Great Video!!! Your booth looked amazing ❤ when I do shows the smalls sale so will and the quilts, gardening items. Benches small and large. I really like the shelf’s. Loved the time lapse footage!!!!!!
I was so excited to see this video, it's the highlight of UA-cam. I am in total agreement about the furniture. Over the last two years we couldn't keep furniture in stock and I was constantly buying, delivering and setting up furniture. Not so this year. I noticed we're selling a lot of small pieces, side tables, plant stands and lamps, art and pottery but the bigger pieces are sitting. I super surprised that your marble lamps didn't sell. They're such a hot commodity right now because they cross a lot of genres.
Wow. What a great team you guys are! Lucky to have someone who can also do so many things and the heavy lifting. My back would be shot after the first day! Your display looks fantastic as always! Thanks for the inspiration, I really enjoy you guys and your sister!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I love how you and Mike work as a team! Thanks for the info on what sold and what didn't. Struggling here in Georgia with selling furniture also. Smalls have saved me and I am making more room in my booth's for them.
You look beautiful. Lovely…fun personality. Both of you put a lot of work into that and did a great job. Looks like you two really love each other. You deserve it.
Wow you guys did a excellent job again! I just have a 10x10 for my events, but there is so much involved in making a plot of ground beautiful and tearing it all down & packing it away. Just to do it again, you gotta love your things and the interaction with your customers. Beautiful job, great team.
Love watching your videos, I've never been to Lucketts Spring Market, I used to sell MMS some items to take to Lucketts when she lived near Gettysburg. Love to see the younger generations getting involved in Antiques.
Your booth looked beautiful as always! Great job on the daily refresh of the booth, I'm sure by day three it was a daunting task, but it looked just as good as day one. Love going to Luckett's, it is so inspiring. I didn't come home with nearly as much this year. As a reseller myself furniture sales have slowed and smalls are reigning king right now.
I kinda hate this video because, now I am obsessed with vintage alabaster lamps and have to find some. I love your style and your content, great job.
I love how involved and supportive Mike is. ❤❤
He’s definitely a keeper…if we clone him would also be great. ❤

I agree as a buyer. Don’t move spaces. I always hit up my favorite places first.
The walls really cut out all that natural light too
😊😊l@@annetteandreotti3338
I get what your saying but walls are real estate and her beautiful chandeliers show off better.
Well worth the wait to see your recap of Lucketts - what a fun event to follow online with you each year! I feel the same way. She’s one of my favorite people to watch on UA-cam
