Hey guys I made a mistake. The website I got most my info didn’t have the comic version spiderman on there and that was actually their second comic version, gwenoool was first then deadpool after spider man. Sorry for that mixup
94 Mafex figures in my collection and counting. My first figure was the ESB Boba Fett, which I got in October 2016. My best is definitely the recently released Robocop Murphy Head Damage Version. The sculpted damage, paint and Peter Weller likenes are perfect. My worst are my Xenomorph Alien where all it's parts seem stuck together with spit and the Comic Paint Spider-Man, whose both wrist pegs snapped off within 10 mins of unboxing. In 2023 Mafex have blown away Hasbro, SHF, Revoltech, Sentinel and Figma with their releases, in my opinion.
My first Mafex figure was the BvS Superman. I remember that I did tons of research first on known issues before making a purchase. The only problem I had on my figure was a bit of paint chipping and a loose toe joint.
Been collecting them since their inception, they’ve had some very high highs and very low lows. Both Boba’s were solid and kept me invested but then it was a train wreck for a good few releases I remember the figure that saved Mafex for me was the The Dark Knight Rises Bane then the rest of the trilogy figures. Then like you say the Justice League figures were love hate. The delay in schedules caused a massive improvement in QC and just recently every Mafex I’ve picked up has been excellent! I’ve recently got Black Noir and he is perfect. It’s been a rollercoaster ride but I’m glad I stuck with them. Look forward to seeing what they offer in the future
great video!! one thing to note, MAFEX's no. wasn't actually in order of how they were released due to licensing approval, production, etc. variations. The first comic figure was actually gwen pool. Amiami can sort by the latest release date and it's kind of interesting to see the entire list. the JL Batfleck and Cavill is the turning point of quality. the purple suit Joker was their first one with the face print tech, but i think the dark knight 2.0 joker was the first one that got the face print perfected. ever since then it was just amaze balls. also just because I was curious, I counted the current MAFEX pre-orders; there's 28 figure on pre-order that's yet to release. XD
The first comic figure was actually Gwenpool (071) then followed by Spider-man (075). I can speak a bit on the Gwenpool since I use to own it, the torso felt loose, paint was not clean, and mine came with 2 right fist(this last one is not common though).
First Mafex I ever got was the second release of the Selina Kyle Catwoman from the Dark Knight Rises. Awesome figure, great sculpt, great articulation, great paintjob... Arm kept falling off. Every Mafex I bought afterwards never had that issue.
Mafex is the reason I'm an action figure collector. I have walked this journey with you. I own 71 figures. All the early DC and Amazing figures. I love the old QC ones just cuz I like seeing how far MAFEX has come.
Mafex is a figure company I started collecting recently, and they are really great. I hope to get more soon. Ones I really have my eye on are Hush Nightwing, one of their Iron Mans, and maybe Black suit Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider. They’ve definitely come a long way. I wonder if they’re going to make a new Andrew Garfield Spider-Man because of his appearance in No Way Home and there were prototypes of Tobey and Tom in his Integrated suit, so maybe. Also, they’re making a comic Spider-Man 2099! That’s a definite pickup for me.
Nice dude!! You should definitely pick up that hush Nightwing! One of their best figures and I’m 100% sure they’ll be making a new Andrew Garfield spider man since they’re making Tobey’s friendly neighborhood spider man along with Tom hollands (no way home) figure
Thanks for doing such an interesting video going through the history of one of my favorite toy companies Mediom Mafex. My 1st every Mafex figure was the Iron Man Mark 43 No. 13 way back in 2016.This thing was so beautiful and posed like a dream but it was a loose floppy mess also😅But to this day its still one of my fav figures and I have since fixed the loose joint issues and its great. I remember those early dark days of Mafex man they were brutal but I'm glad I stuck with them because now they are truly giving us some of the best figures out there.

I didn't realize MAFEX figures are relatively new. I may have started with their Robocop 2 figure and I've loved them ever since. My only criticism is that they don't release bigger characters like Juggernaut or Apocalypse from X-Men.
They aren’t super new, I think they’ve been making 6” figures for about 10 years and you know what…. You’re right! They really don’t make bigger figures. The biggest figure they made was hulk Buster from age of ultron. I think the only bigger type figure they’re gonna make is the new bane from knightfall
Mafex also made two Harley’s from Suicide Squad. The second one was her in a dress from the date night scene. It had issues with the feet popping off when I moved them for posing.
Thanks for this video. I really love Mafex, they might be one of the top 6-inch figure lines out there. Just like you, I wanted them to tackle the X Men movies since they are actually the best when it comes to face sculpt. Hoping also that they would continue with The Batman movie line since I would like them to made Riddler, Penguin and Selina Kyle from that movie. Their star wars line is also going well just hoping for more figures from other star wars movies not just Mandalorian. Also this may be impossible but just a big wish, Hoping they make figures from House of the Dragon / Game of Thrones.
No problem! Same here! I love Mafex too. I hope they decide to try out the x-men movie characters. Definitely possible now since marvel/Disney got the rights back. With Batman are you talking about Batman, Batman returns and Batman forever?
@@DareDevil19 The Batman , Robert Pattinson one, I like what they did with the Christian Bale one when they got almost all the characters in figure form so hoping that will also happen with the new Batman. Also if they ever did the Michael Keaton Batman that will also be great.

the ZS's JL version should be a brand new figure based on those photos from the show. can't wait. I really wish they redo the BvS Batman tho. my first Mafexes were the BvS Superman and Batman. still love the Batman, but Superman broke at the elbow and at the hips.
I've owned TASM1 figure for half a year and i could say he isn't that worse as the ASM2 version, joints feel much sturdier, obviously there is some loosen with the hip, 10 years old guy after all, but overall still hold the poses fairly well, unlike... Shhhh.... ASM2-can't-even-be-posed. And the latest reveals on Medicom exhibition were all fire, Superboy, Eradicator, BatFleck ZSJL version, Spider-man 2099, Tobey's Spider-man...etc. Besides Mezco, Mafex is truly the best line in my book for the offering of both comic book & live-action figures
Yup! Mafex came out swinging with Al their new reveals! Can’t wait for the daredevil and riddler the most!!l the ZSJL figures will be awesome! Gonna have to get a few! Another thing I love about Mafex is they rarely ever cheapen out when it comes to accessories. A LOT of figure companies do cheapen out on us with accessories, but I know when I get a Mafex figure there’s gonna be a bunch of accessories

It depends on the height that it falls and from and what figure it is for example if a wolverine falls because his claws are quite delicate they may very well break but some one with a cape may have a softer landing. Each figure comes with a stand so if your figures are not displayed behind a glass cabinet then use the stands

Also MAFEX is an acronym for Miraculous Action Figure EX, so it's not read May-fex. They even have another line called Miracle Action Figure, so MAFEX is actually like a deluxe version of it. Another thing, the holders for the hands weren't included with the Josstice League figures yet. That happened much later. I've been collecting MAFEX since 2016, and I keep every package and accessory well organized
i think starting from 2017/2018 their figures start to get really good; dark knight 3.0, joker 2.0, the justice league lineup, all really good toys and still holds up today, compared to the earlier releases. i hope they make more movies figures like officer K from blade runner. ryan gosling is cool as heck in that role with his awesome jacket and badass gun. Or even a tom cruise figure from MI5: Fallout, with his all black jacket and black gloves
I’m about to order they’re scarlet spider figure and I’m excited it’ll be my first foray into non Hasbro figures. Mafex probably will never do them but I’d like them to do Daft Punk, unlikely since Sh figuarts did figure of them a while ago and since the robots broke up, those two figures go for 200 bucks a pop, so I’d like to see them either reissue those figures or Mafex, Hasbro, somebody to make new figures of Daft Punk cuz those’ll sell really well.

I just received my Comic Spider-Man version because I liked the other one I got with the shiny suit. 30 seconds out of the box I tried to change the hands and the first hand I pulled off snapped the peg and the peg remained in the hand. It was the very first thing I did with the figure I was so upset I just threw it all away. What a piece of shit. A waste of $95. My shiny suit one hasn’t had any issues.
My first Mafex figures where the first comic Spider-Man and the Mafex Deadpool and I love him reason why I don’t really like Sh figure arts is because their pegs break easily I only have an SH figure arts goku and I love my civil war captain America broke
Mafex's DIAPHRAGM CUT needs to be smoother looking, 'thinner' and not as gappy! That's the one thing that stands out the most on their figures and it's right in the center of the product fgs! Everything else is really smooth then they give you this big thick, gaping cut right in the middle! Mcfarlane is even doing a better job of that cut nowadays and that's saying something! ALSO, the butterfly joints are gappy and cut too deep - making a figure look like they're wearing a singlet or something! These joints are as ugly AF imo and could easily be executed better.

i'll be honest i have had more problems with figuarts than mafex so it's not like they were perfect either
No figure company is perfect and issues can happen while a figure is being made
