Agree with all your points 100%. I use a 3 piece Amazon selection solution for my CPAP back up. Total cost was around $100.00. I have tested it to 4 nights of back up power. I still don’t know the full limit. Battery is a Goldenmate LiFePO4 rated for 20Ah, $59.99. DC to AC inverter is a Foval 150watt, $17.98. I also added a LiFePO4 charger for recharging the battery from a wall outlet. $19.97 was the cost of the charger. I’m sure I can make it much more efficient by eliminating the inverter and go directly from the 12 volt battery to CPAP with a unique cable but this set up was so easy to put together and use for my off grid or back up needs it’s hard to consider making a change.
We don’t use a cpap , but have friends that do. The 12v direct plug is best option as you don’t have the ac/dc conversation. We also have a jackery and that works well,in some cases where you need power in different locations. Great insight and the price of lithium is always changing.

I agree 👍 it’s not a generator, but a battery pack with an inverter. They are handy through 👍
Great post! I use a CPAP and we boondock or dry camp a lot. Very helpful to see some options.
Really good video. John uses a cpap but I hadn’t thought what to do when we Boondock. Thanks!

Good info. I don't use a cpap so I can save the money....for now.
We have an on board generator that we use. Neither of us use a cpap. Lynn and Danny
What brand is your portable cpap? I use an AirCurve10 at home and would rather have something small I can keep in the camper.
It’s called a Z2 portable cpap
