(13:30) Where do we stand on the global sports power rankings currently? The NFL wants Europe. The NBA has games in Abu Dhabi. Why are they doing this? (25:55) World Cup 2034 is right around the corner. And the nominations are in… it’s Saudi Arabia… and… who? (38:23) What is Warner Bros. Discovery up to? It could be a battle with ESPN and Fox. But what about the NBA? Could they be giving part of that pie up? (45:20) Rich Paul has come out and said the collapse of the Regional Sports Networks is actually good for the players. How true is this? Does he see something others don’t?

I really enjoy this show. It's awesome seeing the curtain pulled back a bit on the business side of sports and Pablo has the right tone for moderating.
Bottom line: Our biases guide our concerns. You could kill 100k Palestinians, and it will mean nothing because most people have never met anyone from Palestine, at least as far as they know. Just as with the Rohingya. But we live and work alongside Jewish Americans, we see them more than, say, your average Palestinian, and so it goes...
The problem with our biases is that we are blind to the margins that exist within those belief systems. Because we believe, or should believe that Israel has a right to exist, the general public turns a blind eye to the dark realities of what is claimed under self-defense. We can demonize Palestinians by using Hamas much like right wingers here cover everything under ANTIFA. The truth is, if you want to maintain control, you support the opposition that makes you look the most justified in your actions. Hamas is a puppet of Israel, willing or otherwise, at a political level. As Netanyhu himself once said, he "controls the flames."
If you don't see that as a betrayal of the PEOPLE of Israel, both arab and jew, then you will never see why nothing will ever be fixed in a way that all involved can live long and fruitful lives.

I love these Sporting Class podcasts, because I'm really interested in the business of sports. I used to follow Darren Rovell when he was a sports business analyst for ESPN, but he did not provide regular content. I'm so glad that Meadowlark is providing regular sports business content provided by two former insiders.

When Seattle and Vegas get NBA teams they need to add two teams in Mexico City. DF has the population to support two teams and timezone won't be a problem.
México city can get an NBA team too including Kansas City and Louisville or Pittsburgh

Palestine has been forced off their own land and told where they can go for extremely long time, the whole world looks the other way. Israel is what we see as being attacked.. hard to attack an occupying force as it is for the Palestinians it stands to reason as people stopped caring about Palestinians there side of some of this seems to be lost , I’m not saying it’s anyone’s fault for the country being split like it was when it was but again shame we only see one sides suffering as they both suffer a great deal actually.
