    You're the first english speaking reviewer I found for this kit. Thanks! Subbed.

    Lost my job so I had to cancel my pre-order. Hopefully I'll find something soon to get this after the first release.

    I just got this kit. I would rate this a strong A if only the frame wasn't pre-assembled. It's gonna be hard to paint this with airbrush, especially the inner frame's elbows.

    • @MetalmanX
      @MetalmanX  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it was a hard decision for me between an A or B+. It came down to the posability issues especially in the arms and some of the fitment issues. For my reviews usually anything C and above is worth checking out. Sorry been teaching for a long time so this is my most natural scale

    • @theflawedkid

      @@MetalmanX Totally agree with the B+. I absolutely dig this kit's design, it's like the in-between of Motor Nuclear and IBO Gundam, not too magic-fantasy like Motor Nuclear, it still somehow retains the gritty mechanical design of IBO. It's cool that the concept is heavily influenced by Japan's Heian Era.
      I'm already excited for their second release, it's the MJZ 'Tengu Hangan Yoshistune', they must be fond of wordy names, the theme for that kit is derived from a Japanese folklore entity, they've already revealed some concept art, looks good.
      This independent company's line of kits seems promising. I like the direction they're taking.

      @@DTFLexX thank you. I use Tamiya panel line accent colors for my builds. On the black I believe I used a light gray

  • @JuLVideos
    @JuLVideos 8 місяців тому +3

    I also use light gray on black and often on dark colors, it gives a very elegant look IMHO. I find though that cleaning panel-liner requires a little bit more efforts for a crisp result. So after cleaning the lines with q-tips, I simply wipe off any lining paint smudge on parts with the paper towel used for absorbing the thinner from q-tips.

    Regarding using light gray panel liner, I actually use that myself for both black and white pieces (I only use black panel liner if the panel line is very thin).
    Regarding the kit as a whole, I love the design as a whole and I really appreciate your review on the Kiyomori (most builders like myself call it that since it's a famous clan from Feudal Era Japan). I specifically appreciate the effort you put into explaining what I need to watch out for when I get & build the kit.
    One question though, regarding the inner frame is it similar to the inner frames used the Supernova / In Era+ ?

    • @MetalmanX
      @MetalmanX  8 місяців тому

      Thanks. I usually use dark grey on white parts. The inner frame is similar to other metal frames but entirely made of plastic but is strong.

      Kiyomori is a personal name. The person you're thinking of is from the taira clan.

  • @kydigadig
    @kydigadig 6 місяців тому +2

    How did you panel line this? Since this kit is all abs plastic?

    • @MetalmanX
      @MetalmanX  6 місяців тому

      Tamiya panel liner. I do mine differently than a lot. I don't top coat before I panel line. I panel line before I build to prevent the liner from seeping into micro cracks caused by the build process.

    • @kydigadig
      @kydigadig 6 місяців тому

      Ah, unfortunately I don't have a top coat nor tamiya. I mostly use gundam fine tip markers. But I know they don't do well with abs. So I'll just straight build.

      Cheers to you for being here. Honestly I do not know. Honestly have looked into it myself when I first got it and found nothing. So it's likely just an original design by the company. I could be wrong but to that's what I've found on it.

      @@MetalmanX thank you for your response even with the age of this video. Much appreciated bro, you got yourself a new sub. Anywho, I am new to this hobby, and I just bought this modelkit, do you think this will be okay to newbies? also does the kit include a manual ?

    • @MetalmanX
      @MetalmanX  3 місяці тому +1

      @@Demonhead1 it may be a difficult task for a "newbie". third party and independent kits are not as forgiving as most Bandai kits. I would have a couple of MGs under my belt before really tackling this. The biggest thing to remember is these companies do not have the years of experience or resources like Bandai so things are not going to be perfect. So as a modeler you have to show a lot of patience and thought when doing kits like these. I love these kits but it does take a bit.more time and care. I hope this response is taken as helpful and not a deterrent. I hope whatever your decision you enjoy the build. Welcome to the hobby, take your time and love it, and welcome to the channel my friend.
