Kason has a wonderful gritty and rasp voice. I can't wait to hear him rock on with some great classic rock songs suitable for his style.
This is phenomenal especially Daughtry is a legend.... So glad this got pulled... An important modern rock track
such a great sound, so much gravel, working the stage, and he is definitely easy on the eyes.... good work.
Love his tone and he's doing his growls in a relaxed way which is great for protecting his instrument. My issue is that his placement is too far back. For a rocker, he really needs to sing in the mask in order to project. If you compare him to Chris Daughtry (sp?) you'll hear what I mean. I hope that a good vocal coach will help him bring his sound forward so that he gets that nice buzz that the best rock gods have.
@@alisalavine1052 Don't you think his sound is amazing? Projection, these days, is all done with smoke and mirrors (mics and reverb). IF he gets to the lives, I think he'll go a long way on his looks alone.
@@robertantonnyc I felt like the high notes could've been much better, and he could've sang with more force. Otherwise great audition!
@@alisalavine1052 Agreed. It causes him to be missing a little intensity at times where the song calls for it for that extra punch. And singing back there on rock chords/melody also causes the ear to put undue focus on deviations in pitch making them more "glaring" than they otherwise would be. All in all, I think he's very solid though and will be interested to see him make some slight shifts to really up the ante.

He's a good singer, but I wish he would've given it more force, and those high notes could've been better. I'm surprised he got a chair turn, and especially so quickly in, but I'm happy for Blake, this one may surprise us in the future!

I was like "yes! finally someone doing rock' because I find that the voice US doesn't give a lot of room for people who sing rock or even really stand out. It's all the pop, country or R&B by conforming to the current genres. I think the the voice US could learn from some of the European voice shows, on the voice Germany, people like Matthias had that really powerful rock voice that went viral. Or even MB14 from the voice France. The voice US could use more people like them who stand out.

not in to a rock stuff, but the interaction Kason and the judges was something..

He has a strong voice but needed to show more of it and more dynamics. I'm kind of surprised he got a chair turned, but Blake will be a great coach for him to help him with dynamics and just building the song. It was a good song choice for him but I dont think he really emoted well, this would have been a situation where I think normally he wouldn't have gotten a chair turned and then been advised to come back with a different song choice that resonated with his emotions. I agree that there is typically a lack of rockers on the show and they dont usually go far (which is always a bummer, Rock is my favorite). I think Blake really wanted a rocker on his last team though so go Blake! 😆 Also I hope Kason grows a lot and shows everyone he deserves to be there.
I concur, I hope some of his "old habits" don't make him go out in the 1st round. I mean he can't pull of a Led Zeppelin song at this rate.

I like his tone a lot. I do think his placement might be a little off causing some loss of intensity in some key moments which draws undo focus to deviations in pitch, but all in all I think he's really solid, handsome, has presence and a lot of potential.
I totally agree. Daughtry is hard to cover but Kason has all the right tools and should do really well with a good vocal coach.

The music video for the song Pisces Live Session by Jinjer has close to 75 million views. Clarksons music video for the song Already Gone has 40 million views. This means she is better than Clarkson.
