      I must not use fake syrup. Fake syrup is the mind-killer. Fake syrup is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my syrup. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fake syrup has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

      Agreed! Easily one of my favorites of yours with the changeable scenes, and the channel crossover was great. Was the spinning logo and sound a throwback to the old Batman tv series? Anyway, nice video and craft idea...cheers!

    Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale series, I have fond memories playing those. I was thinking of an Iconian portal from Star Trek or the portal from the episode The City on the Edge of Forever.

    The patterned rollers are such a good idea! If you want a custom stamp design, these style rolling pins with spacers are also available at kitchen stores for pretty cheap. You can get a "blank" rolling pin, add your own texture with clay/putty/your favorite sculpting medium, and roll away! Awesome video!

    I've watched your tutorials for a while and thought they were great, I've used them to make some terrain. This is the first time I've commented and I have to say this episode was awesome. I've got an idea how to adapt this for the game I play but just the way you go about things really inspires me. Keep up the great work man.

    Excellent as always. I can see doing a version of this project as a Navigator’s chamber for a 40K rpg or maybe a Necromunda campaign set on a large pilgrimage vessel.

    Okay this has got my mind going. I found a great technique from Commissar Gamza on painting portals, and combined with this I think I’m gonna start on some planar gate terrain. I love the cartridge idea, makes it much more fun, especially if this is a feature the players come back to regularly to traverse other realms or planes of existence. Hell, would even use this for something Spelljammer related

    Hey Wyloch, my tree idea is. A tree stump that can have in yer terms clip ons on it say 1.tree trunk 2.Upper branches 3.Greenery part (The greenery part 4 section can come out so figures can stand on it) 4.Vines can go on the tree 5.Fallen tree trunk on the stump but can come off like the other sections. This can go for tropical trees but they can have clip ons for coconuts.

  • @JosephKeenanisme
    @JosephKeenanisme 6 років тому +1

    Cheap-O way (stolen from the Crafty Goblin), half way in between for time wise for making cobblestone texture. Buy some wooden pencils from the dollar store. Pop out the erasers, bend the metal a bit with pliers.. Still have to do them one at a time but saves time over the by hand way.

    • @TriMarkC
      @TriMarkC 6 років тому +1

      Joseph Keenan Rubberband a bunch of the pencils together to do a larger area. And you don’t need to be exact when doing sequential sections - accidental overlap will create the look of broken tiles/cobblestones.

    The galaxy idea would of looked good or even a few other colored stars blues reds purples along with the white stars.
    Think using regular paper might of been better for your banners perhaps with a little more interesting shape using that airbrush glowing symbols would of been easy to do make it look a much better fit along with the rest of the beautiful build.

    This is great. Not sure if you are familiar with the age of sigmar game setting, but there is going to be an RPG released in the setting sometime next year which I am really looking forward to. In age of sigmar there are 8 mortal realms that can be linked by giant realmgates. Something like this would be a powerful tool my players could use. There is a symbol for each realm which I would draw on the banners. Good stuff, wyloch

    • @WylochsArmory
      @WylochsArmory  6 років тому

    • @nova3k

      Wyloch's Crafting Vids most definitely. Perhaps the room can lead to one of the realmgates in each realm. The players may be at risk however if the gate is under chaos control.

    that looks amazing, when you use double corrugated board how do you stop it from squishing?

    • @WylochsArmory
      @WylochsArmory  6 років тому

      That's only an issue when trying to cut very tiny pieces like these posts. The long cut (to make the strip) is no problem because the ruler is on the "bulk" side of the cut. And then when chopping the strip down to size: turn it on its side and cut with low pressure back and forth, like a saw.
