Just for reference...after my reaction to Tricky House I looked up the producers of the song. I said 'ATEEZ Team' but what I really meant was the 'KQ Producing Team'. Also just want to clarify in case someone says it, I am not in anyway saying it sounds like ATEEZ. Do I see some similarities there? 100%. That's what you get when you have the same producing team and and a member from ATEEZ work on the song. Producers have their own style and it can be obvious if a producer worked on something based off how it sounds. What I do think is that XIKERS added something to it, their own style which made it both familiar and unfamiliar! It sounds super fresh and new! I am so excited to see more!
Minjae the leader did produce GEEK himself actually and Hongjoong was complimenting him on what a good producer he is which is so sweet. They have several shows and one of their predebut shows 'Ready to One' showed in great detail them going to LA as KQ Fellaz 2 just like Ateez did to learn and train in hiphop dance as well as get other experiences such as having their first studio recording, song, MV shoot, team bonding, etc. They went to Ateez's LA concert and they shouted them out on stage and then the next day Yunho, San and Hongjoong came directly to the dorm they were staying at unannounced specifically to help them pick out their predebut song. They all said this track would be best for them to do right then and at their age it would be very good for them (they're kinda dipping their toe in the water with this which was really cool to give them experience and something to completely call their own) and when San heard this track he got so excited and was saying that they had the KQ blood flowing through their veins TT he literally said exactly what you said which is that it didn't sound just like Ateez or anything but it had that "KQ energy" haha it was so cute they're so excited to have little brothers they literally take care of them ALL the time

i am a multistan and i always have a bias or two in every group i like but seventeen and xikers these two groups i really struggle with choosing a bias i just can't lol although i really think xikers have a very good rapline and they all are amazing dancers but they are so young btw hongjoong is one of their main producers in their whole album he has credit on all of their songs (songwriting/composing/arrangements) he and yunho also were the hosts of the xikers idol radio ep i hope u can watch it on ur own time if u want its so much fun and they talked about hongjoong role in their album especially that he did all the guides himself and was with them during the recording process too

Producer Eden said that the song Tricky House, in particular, was inspired by the Bollywood sound/beat - I can totally hear that, too. And Xikers are already performance BEASTS right out the gate!!! They have so much charisma and energy!!! Check out the song "Xikey" 🔥🔥🔥 (especially a live stage performance of Xikey on your own) - it's a fan favorite!!!! And you should DEFINITELY do an album listen! The whole album is amazing. And yes, Xikers have their own concept and storyline, and the album ties in perfectly with it. It's very cohesive. Their name "Xikers" is a combo of "X", as in coordinates on a map and "Hikers" - as in travelers - & their storyline involves them traveling through time & space looking for coordinates (going on a wild journey). In addition, their concept is that they are GOBLINS - look at their "goblin" signature character wearing the ghost-looking white hoodie- His name is Tricky, and on their channel, they already have some videos with Tricky in cartoon form, introducing us to their storyline - it's sooooo CUTE!!! The mv KOREAN title for Tricky House directly translates to 'Goblin House'. So unlike western 'ghosts/spirits' which are associated with the death of a human, in Korean lore they're nature-like spirits, and that's why you see the blue flames throughout both the Tricky House MV, as well as Rockstar, since goblins are associated with blue flames in Korean lore.
