Could have put the green line right through the mall. In Japan the green line goes straight through the Akihabara shopping complex, as a result it's the most successful retail location in the biggest city in the world. Proof that Calgary Liberal city officials don't care about a prosperous city, jobs or the bottom line.
I think there's plans for a shopping area around the station, but more open concept. I assume to accommodate for the higher walking traffic expected with the station
