Xaque Gruber, our talented hometown artist, takes the director’s chair for his debut feature-length film, “Sallywood,” inspired by his own true life adventures! The tale begins when”Zach”, a twenty-something writer, embarks on a life-changing journey from the serene landscapes of small-town Maine to the dazzling lights of Hollywood. His dream? To carve a niche for himself in the world of cinema.
As fate weaves its intricate threads, Xaque’s path intersects with that of his silver screen idol, the illustrious actress Sally Kirkland. In a serendipitous encounter, Sally recognizes Xaque’s potential and promptly offers him a unique proposition: to become her personal assistant. As the curtain rises on “Sallywood,” Xaque navigates the glitz, glamour, and enigma of Tinseltown. Q&A to follow the film with Award Winning Actress Sally Kirkland, Tyler Steelman (Zach) and Xaque himself!
