    Nice to have some lunch-time entertainment! That 395 is a perfect fit for the tedder. I wish I had a small tractor for jobs like that.

      Wishing it didn’t have the loader, also have to get the roof on yet. I don’t think I used 2 gallons.

    Yep, that H&S tedder & 395 make for a good combination. Looks like you had the tedder setup just about right, tines just almost touching the ground. The tedder is spreading the hay out nicely, making the field look like a room with shag carpet. Looks like some really nice hay, I hope you're able to get it baled up before any rains hit. Thanks for the ride along. Stay safe.

      This is my warm up field for the year. I have 6 more yet, I think this is the smallest so I’ve got a long way to go. Still haven’t had the weather to cut anymore

    Nice tedder!! Looks like it is working perfectly! I hope you are happy with it. Hope the rain stays away so you can rake and bale. Good job 395!!!

    That tedder looks like it does great! Much better than the other one you have. By the sounds of it, the grass is drying out pretty good.

    Looks like the tedder works great! We just bought a 4 rotor H&S tedder (19ft) model but haven't gotten to use it yet. Cant wait to try it out, hopefully next week if the weather straightens out. Great Video, keep it up!

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      Thanks, I almost wish I got the 4 star but this will work.

    • @farmerike-treasuredhavenfa66
      @farmerike-treasuredhavenfa66 6 років тому

      Yeah just a bit more time in the field. We would have liked a 6 rotor to do 3 windrows at a time but the price over doubles from the 4 to 6 rotor

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      I think the same is true from a 2 to a 4 if I remember when I was pricing them.

    Great vid does the tedder throw the grass over the next mowed row much and outside the field??

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      It will a little bit. On the ends I slowed down so it didn’t go into the corn field

    Really like your tedder certainly does a good spread 👍. I find it's always good to give loader or yard tractors a good workout too, I wouldn't mind having a 395 now after seeing more and more videos of it, I would prefer it than to a Massey Ferguson 135 anyway but that's my choice !!!! because I like my International & case International tractors ! 😁

    • @jlsmith6310
      @jlsmith6310 6 років тому +1

      Calum Anderson I'd take the 135 over a 395 anyday!!!

    • @calumanderson5617
      @calumanderson5617 6 років тому

      jlsmith6310, each to their own depends on which tractor brand your raised up with !!!!, the good things about 395 is it had a hydrostatic steering as standard, fully hydraulically activated independent pto too without having to pressing two clutches down and bending over to engage a pto lever to either hear crunch or having to press the clutch again to attempt to getting into engage, wet disc brakes " a must on hilly ground " and saves having to maintain adjusting a drum or taking off to renewing shoes or constantly adjusting with a screwdriver in a slotted hole if the adjuster hasn't seized, easy to get over the transmission tunnel without having to dodge two gear lever's with your foot, plus with this one shown it has a forward and reverser lever as an option but all had syncromesh as standard apart from the hi, low, and reverse, as said in my previous comment that's just my opinion and I'm not expecting anyone else agreeing !!!! and yes I do like Massey's too but nothing painted blue plus with a 395 it's alot cheaper too than a 135, 😁

    • @jlsmith6310
      @jlsmith6310 6 років тому +1

      Yeah they are all legit Massey shortcomings. But I do like the MF better still. Just me

    • @calumanderson5617
      @calumanderson5617 6 років тому

      Yeah, their all great tractors agree with you 👍

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому +1

      I had some hours on Massey tractors. We have no dealers within 100 miles. I like that the 395 follows the same design as the 574 and up. I could take 3/4 of the Parts off and put them on the 685. Massey had similarities too.

    Guess we are lucky cut one day ted the next and bale the third.......Our 4 basket takes two 10 swaths... and we run 2 , because the price really jumps when you start adding baskets.(KRONE)

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      Yea I did look at a krone but I couldn’t justify it for a small farm. I could buy about 3 of these for one

  • @chickenman298

    Nearly 4 years to the day of this posting, so how has it held up? I am in the market for a tedder, and from photos, the H & S looks flimsy.

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  2 роки тому

      Held up pretty good, if you make a lot of hay I would probably suggest getting a heavier duty one.

  • @MrRanger518
    @MrRanger518 6 років тому

    How many acres of hay do you have?

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      I usually don’t get into acres. Mainly for reasons of some locals that watch.... it’s a long story. I don’t try to give the impression that I’m a huge operation. What I will do in my videos is give specifics on prices but I try to leave one piece out so I don’t have my income calculated. Don’t know if I made any sense but acres is one thing I leave out

    • @MrRanger518
      @MrRanger518 6 років тому

      Cool I understand that. Looks like you do quite a few the hard way I respect you for that it is hard work. Love the channel keep it up.

    What tractor is 175 hp?

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому +1

      The 986. Has a turbo and fuel work. 436 ci so it’s similar to the 1586 engine

  • @donvoll2580

    Good day Boy that worked nice. We never had a tedder, & I think the popularity only pick up in last few yrs. Up here we have some Mennonites making them, their own brands. Would 2nd high have been to fast or just rough. If you had 560 on could lift drawbar up & down. Thanks.

    • @PAFarms
      @PAFarms  6 років тому

      Yea the fast hitch is definitely a plus for jobs like this. Field is very rough. I did try it and was bouncing me out of the seat.
