- This is a remade version that I made of Akira Ifukube's score from King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962). This version is based on that movies main theme and also Akira Ifukube's Godzilla theme.
I made this in anticipation of the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie.

Yup, way better than the score Holkenburg created. I wish they they had asked Bear again, his score for KotM was just perfect.
It could have been a copyright reason why he couldn't use this song in the movie.
Bear is kinda overated and they go with diffrent music styles every film

Yeah ngl the actual score is kinda bland and unoriginal, the only one song I really like is Mega, aside from that all the other ones aren't very good, especially for a movie as legendary as this one.
I just don't understand why legendary has a boner for changing things so much, JUST BRING BACK AN UPDATED VERSION OF THE OLDER THEME FOR GODZILLA VS KONG FOR GOD SAKE.

@@simonhassnilsson7009 That one is sadly too hard for me. I don't have anything near perfect pitch, and my transcribing skills aren't that good. That theme has to much jazzy things going with the rhythm and music that I don't think I would be able to figure out. I really love it though so it would be fun but I don't think I have the skills for that one yet.

My guess is that they will have two chants back-to-back, with Buddhist monks chanting, "GO-JI-RA!" (similar to KOTM) and native Pacific Islanders chanting, "Kong! Kong! Kong! KONG! KONG!" (referencing the natives chanting in both the 1933 and 2005 movies).

The movie I watched the most as a child was King Kong vs. Godzilla. The movie made me the Godzilla fan I am today. It's definitely a huge part of my childhood and the movie will always have a special place in my heart. This remade version of the theme gave me so much nostalgia and brought tears to my eyes. Tbh they should've remake the 1962 main theme like they did with Godzilla and Mothra in 2019, it could make the battle more legendary and honorable for how long the fans been waiting for
Everyone here is saying that Bear McCreary should have scored GVK, And while I agree that he couldn't have done a better job modernizing all those legendary themes, Tom Holkenborg also absolutely nailed it too. The score he made for Mechagodzilla bursting his way out of the mountain will always give me the strongest of chills
