I'm going back to school at 26 to become a PE teacher. I have all my gen eds out of the way and I'm majoring in school health education. There's also a PE concentration I'm doing. I think I'll really enjoy the job a lot and enjoy making the lesson plans for the students. Your videos have helped. I hope I can connect with you at some point and chat about some more about your lesson plans I'm eager to get started!
@@jeffreymorse7454 hey Jeffrey! That’s exciting! PE is definitely one of the best teaching positions and not a high turnover rate compared to classroom teaching. Feel free to email me at contactjeannelle@gmail.com for questions or chat about PE related things.

@@jeffreymorse5968 do you know if you’re able to sub while you’re in school? I know each state is different when it comes to sub requirements coz if you can sub a lot for different PE teachers you’ll get connections and if their specific school is planning on hiring they can recommend you. I would check different school districts website under employment opportunities during Feb-August.
Just found your channel! I am a elementary teacher and have been a high school coach for 7 years. I will be switching to be a PE teacher here at my school in August and I'm so excited. You are having me consider adding my life as a PE teacher as apart of my content! lol Thank you for your video. Love your content!
Thanks for posting videos! I taught elementary school for a couple of years, then stayed home with my kids for a long time. I am wanting to become an elementary phys ed teacher, and am glad to have found your videos. I need all the info I can get before making this decision!!

Hey Janelle! I did the opposite of you. I got my undergrad in PE/ health and then and doing my masters in Literacy Education (reading specialist) and getting an endorsement in my Elementary Education! And possibly Special Education! I feel that undergrad in PE is easier because for elementary education you have to take a praxis for each subject. Whereas pe degree all you have to take is PE content praxis. Wish I could make videos for you to watch but I am too much of a private/introverted person. I’ve commented a few times on here❤ that’s how I found you by searching “PE day in the life” a while back!

Hi, OT masters grad here. I take my exam November and I have a passion for adaptive fitness and overall health and wellbeing. My plan is to have two careers. My main career as a PE teacher and my second career as an OT therapist per diem. I also want a hobby as a gym group instructor. I am currently getting my CPT as well as studying for my NBCOT exam. The sky is not the limit ❤😊
Can you share a link for California teaching for P.E school calendar or planning something like ? I am about to get my credentials and I did in my country and I don’t know where to look it up for all these stuff. Thank you
Do you have to teach health standards as well or do you strictly cover physical education standards? If just PE, do you know if the general education teachers cover health, or do actual health standards not get covered until middle school?
Great video indeed and you answered those questions perfectly, this is Naqash the PE teacher from Pakistan. I love the way you make these videos we need more content creator in our domain.
I'm going to be moving to Georgia this summer. Was it difficult to find a teaching position? Are there a lot of teaching jobs available ? I also teach PE.
Based on my experience, it wasn’t difficult to get a PE teaching job. But, It can be difficult to find PE teaching jobs because it has a lower turnover rate compared to classroom teachers. There are a lot of PE teaching positions if you’re willing to relocate.
