Great video in the Ochills Ed, my favourite hills of home. Fabulous views of The Forth winding it's way to the sea, Alva, The Alloa Inch and The Wallace Monument. Thank you so much.

Another great video Ed, I take my hat off to you for all that back and forth you must do with those camera shots! I've put in my planning permission to Stirling Council for the Tick Checking shop, it'll be called "Tick'n'tea Boo!" wish me luck! 👍 Hope you are well!

I personally find all your videos really interesting and useful as I live in Falkirk and use public transport for hiking so I really appreciate all your the information and ideas on your channel. Good stuff

Many thanks. A great website for bus times is bustimes.org. Generally if I'm going somewhere I'll search Google with the names of where I'm travelling from and to, and include the phrase bustimes. Sometimes that site doesn't show right away, but if you persevere it generally appears. Very accurate info.

@@EdExploresScotland thanks, I tend to use Google maps and search to and from on public transport. Seeing how far I can in a day for a hike

I'm really enjoying your videos since discovering them yesterday, Eddy.
The eastern side of Menstrie glen has been a nightmare since the new trees were planted about 10 years ago. Very confusing and easy to lose the various paths.
I visited the Sheriffmuir Inn in the early 1980s when it was owned by Andy Robbins, the wrestler. You'll remember his bear, Hercules, going missing on Bute or some other island. There was no draft beer, only cans, and it was really run down. Sometime after that it was bought over. I visited it a second time about 15 years ago and it was very upmarket. It concentrated on meals and was packed the lunchtime I was there. It shut down in January, 2017. I suspect the changing attituded to drink driving and the reduction in the legal limit put people off from going.
    All the best, Russell Campbell.

Loving your idea of the wee shops at which you pay a small fee to have them check you for ticks. Guess if you didn't have money you could always ask them for tick!

Great video Ed. You've got the knack of mixing the chat with spectacular scenery. I particularly love hearing about the old/ancient history of these places, even if there's no certainty of accuracy, It just adds to the mystique. Looking forward to the next one. Go well Ron

Just chanced upon this video, Eddy. Very enjoyable. Regarding man-made features around Wood Hill I have noticed a grass covered ditch just south of the top going in an east/west direction for about 50 feet or so. At the western end of the ditch it turns north at an almost perfect right angle and continues for another 50 feet or so. You'll probably have noticed it. I would have thought the ditch was originally man-made from the Bronze age or thereabouts but another Ochils wandering acquaintance of mine reckons it is only about 200 or 300 years old. Anyway, must have a look at some other of your videos.

Thanks Russell. I suspect there's a lot of field systems up there, and I often get things wrong. But Wood Hill is a very interesting area.

Hi Eddy, another great trekking video through the beautiful Ochil hills.
I must say there were some scary and slippery looking slopes you negotiated!
As one of the comments mentioned, you certainly do a lot of walking back and forth to reposition the camera, and it adds another dimension to your videos. The surrounding views were spectacular, even though the weather conditions weren’t ideal. Always good to see the iconic Wallace Monument on Abbey Craig.
Thanks again and all the best, regards Rob.

@@EdExploresScotland I got mine in Go Outdoors in Clydebank, not expensive about 3 or 4 quid. I was always wanting to mention about the camera crew, I can just see you barking out orders, "you there put that camera over there" or " You there frame me in the shot & make me look good" Until the next time take care all the best. 🤠😄
