    As usual, Dr. Dever is spot on. A great expository communicator.

    This is an excellent message and I wish more people could hear it. The suicide rate is up and a generation of people are loosing hope. Thank God for the Blessed Hope of the believer.

    When people say a pastor is spot on they simply mean they agree with them. Nothing to do with actually being correct

    • @rebanelson607
      @rebanelson607 8 місяців тому

      Who gets to decide correctness? We all must humble ourselves before the One who can declare what is correct.

    The Day of the Lord is every Sunday.

      Wrong. He correctly taught it.

      @@kylec8950 With that rationale whatever day you were born on is your birthday. Every Friday is my birthday. How about you?

      @@thelordsdayministry2026 Except that is not at all the same. Did you know that "Day of the Lord" and "Lord's Day" is the same contruction on Greek and Hebrew. It's the same thing. Christ comes to visit His Churches. See the book of Revelation when he said he would come and visit them, then gives the rest of the book, the destruction of Jerusalem and Rome in 70AD as an example.

      @@kylec8950 Most people think the book of Revelation was written after 70 AD. Christ lives in us. What verse says that Jesus visited the churches?
      Isaiah chapter 10-19 talks about the day of the Lord. That's talking about the Sabbath? By the way it wasn't till the 4th century AD that Christian's Sabbath was recognized as Sunday (the first day of the week).

    Rapture no later then 2023? Google rapture thoughts.

      Still can’t find a single verse about a rapture. Nor can I gong where it was ever taught before the mid 1800’s.

    John Calvin and Martin Luther did not teach tithing. So as a Calvinist why does Mark Dever teach it.

    • @HearGodsWord
      @HearGodsWord 5 років тому +3

      Because Jesus taught it and He is greater than Calvin or Luther.

    • @smagua
      @smagua 5 років тому +1

      @@HearGodsWord did Jesus or His apostles collect tithes? Of course not. They were law keeping Jews who knew that only Levites are authorized to collect tithes. No, Jesus did not teach tithing nor did he practice it Himself nor did his apostles.

    • @HearGodsWord
      @HearGodsWord 5 років тому

      So you think it's unbiblical to tithe then?

    • @smagua
      @smagua 5 років тому +1

      @@HearGodsWord not unbiblical since it is part of the Bible. The proper term would be unChristian since Christianity is New Covenant while tithing is Old Covenant. This is the same reason why we do not keep all the other Levitical laws such as burnt offerings, food laws, mildew laws etc.

    • @HearGodsWord
      @HearGodsWord 5 років тому +1

      Except that it's not unchristian because of what's written in the Gospels and Paul's epistles.
