The Son of He who sits on the throne
In Rev. 21:5-7 John wrote, “Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new’ --- ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’ --- ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.’ --- ‘He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
The son of the Alpha and the Omega who sits on the throne will inherit all things. It is the son of the Alpha and the Omega who sits on the throne who overcomes in the following verses:
> Rev. 3:21 “To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I as overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
> Rev. 3:12 “He who overcome, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the City of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I write on him My New Name.”
> Rev. 3:5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”
> Rev. 2:26-28 “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations --- He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ --- as I also received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.”
> Rev. 2:17 “To him who overcomes I will give some of hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”
> Rev. 2:11 “He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”
> Rev. 2:7 “To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”
> Rev. 19:12-13. “He had a name written that no one knew except Himself, ---. And His name is called ‘ ‘The Word of God’.”
He that had a name written that no one knew except Himself is the son of the Alpha and the Omega who sits on the throne. This is why “He had a name written that no one knew except Himself, ---. And His name is called ‘The Word of God’.” He who overcome that will be given power over the nations in Rev. 2:26-28, is the man Child born from the woman who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron in Rev. 12:5, and is He Himself will rule them (nations) with a rod iron in Rev. 19:15. He who overcome that will be given power to rule the nations will the King of kings and Lord of lords, as written in Rev. 17:14 > “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings.”
The Lamb in ‘The Revelation’ is the Son of the Alpha and the Omega who sits on the throne. - Amen
The deep literary structure of the Bible is a chiasmus, and its beginning and end, its Alpha and Omega is the inclusio, the creation-new creation; the creation of the heavens and the earth-the new heavens and the new earth; the lost paradise-the restored paradise; the first Satan rebellion-the last Satan rebellion; the beginning of the malediction-the end of the malediction; the tree of life is forbiden,-the tree of life is permited, etc. I wrote 20 books on this topic. The corn. A new heaven represents a new dispensation a new earth represents the individual in real time.

The new heaven and new earth sounds really disappointing and limited. It seems like a heaven that’s outside this universe would be far less limited and much more exciting.

Rather, to perfect the carnal realm, is to make it perfectly carnal, not spiritual.
So unfortunately Philip here doesn't understand what he is reading. The passage which describes the heavenly city coming down from God out of heaven, and all things being made new, and our tears being wiped away, is simply a poetic rendition of what it means to be in Christ, where one is a "new creature", and where one "forgets what is behind".
So John in Revelation is simply describing the beauty of the Bride of Christ in Jewish pictures, and the beauty of our residence in Christ, where we now experience "joy unspeakable and full of glory" (Peter).
So the New Heavens and the New Earth are simply a figure for our domain in Christ, where we have passed from death into life, and where we know we reign with Christ right now, for all power has been given to Him in heaven and in earth.
At 2 Pe 3:10,11 we are told that the physical realm will be completely "dissolved". And so we understand from this that there will be no physical creation replacing it. Rather, the realm of vanity will cease, and what will remain will be spirit.
Accordingly, when Jesus tells us that in His Father's house are many mansions, and that He goes there to prepare a place for us, we understand this to be referring to our spiritual position in Christ, and our relationship with Christ. And we understand that our final abode will be in heaven, not on an earth, which simply means that our final abode will be in Christ without the hindrance of the flesh, for Christ is our very New Heaveans and New Earth, and Jesus has said that "the flesh profiteth nothing".

@Lawrence so the New Heavens and New Earth aren't literal, I thought all creation suffered because of the fall and thats why Christ came to redeem us and all creation, so God is going to abandon his own creation? Plus didn't Christ die so we could have both physical/spiritual bodies to reside in the New Creation, didn't he have flesh and bone when resurrected and could eat honeycomb, fish, and drink water if that were the case aren't our bodies going to be like Christ both physical and spiritual at the same-time and yet have flesh and bone like Adam and Eve and Christ himself as the Second Adam, Plus I think the New Heavens and New Earth are physical replacements of the former things but restored and made new, both physically and spiritually, therefore a New Creation in Christ once one sincerely accepts him and his sacrifice for all sins past, present, and future, and denies Evil and only wants to do Good through Christ, through the resurrection is of both the body physically and spiritually and then the Creation of the New Heavens and New Earth, though I think God's Kingdom Heaven/Elysium doesn't need to be made new because its outside space and time and no Evil is allowed to enter and is imperishable, but the Heavens and Earth that are inside time are corrupted by Sin and perishable, the perishable must put on the imperishable and the mortality must put on immortality, so therefore it makes sense that everything inside time must become time-less and immortal in the New Creation to always exist and never die and never perish... Thank-you for reading and God Bless, I believe Heaven is a temporary destination and is not strictly spiritual but physical as well and Christ is physically and spiritually on his throne in Heaven also, but the New Heavens and New Earth are part of our true continual existence both in a body that has flesh and spirit, I believe Heavens is just talking about the Universe and New Heavens is New Universe and New Earth is the Earth restored and made new both physically and spiritually, time-less existence, A New Kosmos or Cosmos/Heavens/Universe/ and New Gaia/Earth...

@@lawrence1318 Sorry but I have to disagree with your statement, I believe the view of your understanding of the Bible seems very gnostic, I believe all creation has literally suffered and is in need of total redemption, if Adam and Eve had not disobeyed and sinned I believe they would have lived forever, I believe when they sinned they died both spiritually and physically, gnostism is dangerous and I believe it denies a physical resurrection of the dead, there is no scripture that indicates that Revelation is poetic, also I believe it has a mixture of both symbolism, metaphoricalism, and literalism, something tells me that you have very gnostic views because in scripture its clear to me that Christ physically and spiritually rose from the dead, there is no where in scripture where God abandons his creation and that we're literally going to be in Heaven forever, in fact I believe there are verses that quote the opposite and that Heaven is a temporary destination and the New Heavens and New Earth is where we will live, not just a spiritual people but physical at the same-time, yes after reading your post further, its very gnostic and I believe it is totally wrong, I believe the Old Testament made it very clear that God was symbolicly married to Israel and its people but not literally, I don't believe we're literally the Bride Of Christ, I believe that is symbolic for New Jerusalem, Jewish Wedding Symbolism, also I believe he will literally set up his Kingdom on Earth for 1000 years and the 144,000 are 12000 Jews from each of the twelve tribes of Israel, then after everything is said and done with the 1000 year Millennium, I believe Lucifer will have his last go at humanity after being released from Tartarus or the pit of darkness, he'll have his last stand and then he'll be destroyed and everyone that followed him as being purely Wicked will be judged along with him and receive the Second Death, opposite of Eternal Life is Eternal Death, destroyed in Gehenna, Lake Of Fire... Complete destruction of the Wicked, I believe the Lake Of Fire is the Old Earth turned into pure fire either by God himself or allows the sun's heat to destroy the atmospheric protection and destroy the Ozone Layer and let the Earth burn thus A Lake Of Fire, as for the Earth and Heavens being reserved for judgement for the Wicked/Ungodly I believe stars and asteroids will pummel the Earth as the Universe goes into complete and utter destruction, as I call it Cosmic Annihilationism and the Wicked will be completely destroyed, then after the judgement of the Wicked, the New Creation of the New Heavens and New Earth begins and then a new Humanity that is both of flesh and spirit starts over in perfection without Sin but still themselves from before but made completely in the image and likeness of God, with knowledge of both Good and Evil but no longer abusing that knowledge but using it to make the New Creation full of Individual Imagination and endless possibility, and our own individual soul-mates, our other halfs, the Male or Female of ourselves in straight monogamous companionships as Adam and Eve were the Male and Female of each-other, The Perfected Eternity... These are all my thoughts and views but I believe personally they line up with scripture perfectly, PS if the Earth was destroyed by Water in the Flood why wouldn't it be destroyed in Fire next, a pure apocalyptic event that would signify the end of this broken age of Sin and I believe science has discovered that our universe is currently losing energy so this doesn't surprise me that the Heavens and Earth must be destroyed to make everything new and restore everything with a New Heavens and New Earth, but yes as I said before I wouldn't get into gnostic beliefs in Christianity for I believe Christ's body was both physical and spiritual and I believe the resurrection of our bodies is not just spiritual but also literally physical as well, I believe it is both and to make us purely immortal and deathless in both flesh and spirit... Dear pastor. You do not interpret very well. Holy new Jerusalem descends to earth to rule over the new earth survivors. The martyrs of rev:7:9 are the new earth. Rev 21:3 the ones who are given life on new earth are ruled by chosen kings and priests of Christ and they become 1 flock. As the kingdom comes down from heaven why do believers want to go to heaven? Rev 7:17 You have millions desiring heaven when the kingdom is coming here. You missed a basic truth of prayer ..for gods will to be done the kingdom comes..Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. You are lost so are your worshippers
