Excellent tutorial mine closes if you you push a little the door ones start coming down. Don’t know if the struts to push the door up are not the right ones and might put too much pressure and door will open again. Does someone know Audis oem tailgate struts not sure if they are Stabilus brand? Thanks Auggie.
I know I can get the book out, this video works on all Q models. ✅ 👍🏼Thank you so much…. I have a Q3 2024 loaner and it was just too high. I miss the 2021 Q3 AUDI 4 circle light on the ground when I open the door on this 2024 Q3 loaner ‼️. Did they delete that option? I do like the interior blue line light when you open the door …. blue lights go streaming across the doors and then the blue Quattro light on the glove compartment. No 4 circle light when you open the door⁉️
Havin problems with 08 Audi q7 tailights done took to mechanic 3 times tail lights won’t stay on done replace twilight switch n all kinda of stuff one will work den sometimes neither one works hate to take to dealership for something simple but really hate can’t drive truck @ night
Hi my Audi Q7 2008 the boot won’t open all the way when opened I took it to a car wash and they closed it hard manually now it won’t open all the way what can I do
Open it, when it stops force it to the desired max position, press and hold the closing button to store the position, single press to close. Check if that worked.

You can't do that from hidden menu. You need a diagnostic interface. I personally recommend OBDeleven. Check my review. Maybe that's something that you would like to buy for your car.
That is not necessary to push the button quickly to lower position you are complicating it just push down manually to whatever position you want and press putton longer and that is for all the cars
mr-fix Q7 is heavy for sure other not, interesting channel I start doing it more than 10 years ago all these modifications, on the beginning on my private car, later to earn so money, two years ago i stop, keep going :)
I started exactly 10 years ago, and just yesterday I reached 100k subs 🎉 Also modding my own car, plus family and friends. One day will have to start doing it commercially I guess 😉
To be honest, over past 10 years I've tested 5 or 6 Audi Q7 cars and each and everyone had the same "issue" with the trunk. Instead of one smooth motion from the top to the bottom, it makes 3 jumps with a laud smack at the end. Newer cars have the mechanism in struts which is much more precise and allows better control over the boot lid. Also Q7 lid is a really heavy one.
mr-fix interesting - I always imagined the Q7 would be the ultimate in refinement, but maybe I’m better sticking with my 2007 A6 Allroad 3.2. That has a very nice electric trunk mechanism.
My new Skoda Octavia iV Estate has an impressively quiet boot (trunk) closing mechanism. Only a barely audible click as it locks. I just wish the Infotainment system was as easy to understand and operate. And as for the SatNav - well, it's back to the windscreen-mounted Garmin, I think...
Much appreciated you just saved me alot of money as i was about to order new tailgate motors 😊

Thanks you, This is real save money….

Does manual closing of the trunk door in an Audi Q7 cause a malfunction in the door?

My hero thank u
Mine cannot open and hold at max extension, would it be struts malfunction?

Does audi q7 2015 standard does not have air suspension?
Depends on destination market. Not everywhere.
Thanks

mr-fix tell me if can do that with green menu, because i don’t have obd

If I push down it closes it automatically.
mr-fix no, you have to stop it also mamually then you can skip to be so fast
Thanks for the tip. But still, I think it's just easier to double press than to fight with the lid. 😀

Good tutorial, but that Q7 makes a nasty sound when the trunk closes. Sounds like a cheap car!

@@PVflying Nah. They saved refinement for Porsche Cayenne that is build on the same platform as Q7.
