Woah, using apple dragon and a level 4 to make crystal wing is so good. However, I think only Swordsoul can do that consistently. Unless you can add the adventurer engine + apple dragon in a 40 card deck
You should try SHS Swordsoul. Wakaushi is a 1 card full combo, but also you can use it as a 1 card Chaofeng that stops LIGHT and FIRE which really good for insulating you.
in the case of having a monk on field, and your mo ye gets impermed, you can special summon apple dragon. then, synchro into coral dragon, and draw 1 with mo ye. then, use apple dragon to summon the token, and synchro into crystal wing, drawing another card off of coral dragons gy effect. happy thanksgiving
