    I heard this on another site many years ago and it's brilliant!! Please listen and u will not be disappointed!! These old school plays are a dream, so well written, acted, produced and have definitely stood the test of time!!

      A time when the town or village policeman had authority and public respect. Life was safer and happier then.

      @@bea3693 Not an ideal era of course but you are right about policing. I guess they have never been held in such low esteem as now, apart from the criminals of course who are having a field day.

      That's because such a time never existed. The play is not about ordinary people, these are rich privileged people with an arrogant superiority.
      Everybody else being a servant or unemployed, and most would be one or the other.

    Didn’t like this one. Sounded very old fashioned and like it was made in the 1930s. Very silly and theatrical.
