@@MrYoda2 Jordan has on numerous occasions called himself “the best” and “the greatest” it’s only after his retirement he’s refrained from making these comments which there’s nothing wrong with, he’s put in the work and has earned his ego and same for Lebron, Wilt, Kareem and Magic.
There is no objectivity in terms of who’s the greatest, there might be objective aspects such as number of rings and MVP trophies but who’s the greatest is a matter of opinion which is by definition subjective.
One person might believe Kareem is the GOAT but the guy beside him might believe Oscar Robertson is the GOAT and the guy next to him might believe Wilt is the GOAT. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? The answer is they’re all right. There isn’t a wrong answer. It’s just that your answer has to be sound and reasonable.

Facts....to see the Bulls go from one of the worst teams in 84 to 6x Champions....just wow. Mike literally set the city on fire.
My Dad and brother went to game 6 of the 97 Finals. The Kerr shot game. My Dad had come home looking for me to take to the game but I had left early to go to a friends house to watch the game. The next morning I saw the ticket stubs on the kitchen counter and was like what the hell who went to the game lol. I had left the house 15 mins before my Dad came home that day. Regret that so much. Luckily I was able to go to a few Bulls playoff games in the 90s. Sat courtside for a regular season game where Mike scored 64 vs Orlando but the Bulls lost.
The entire city was a buzz when the playoffs started back then. It was such a great environment to be around. Lots of celebrating and fun.

MJ definitely did destroy the game in his own way. Players jacking up shots, iso-post ups playing hero ball, it took a long time for league to come back to team ball after that . Everyone wanted to be like mike, but the problem is none of them were mike.
Spurs were considered boring, but they probably played the most optimal basketball of their time.
Mike played stout defense also.Most guys who try to play hero ball seemingly forget to defend their half of the court.

Yes it bothered Michael that everyone focused on the flair and the eye catching stuff and not the work he out in. The other parts of his game. He heard the talk. "All the kids want to be Michael Jordan". "He ruined the game" Kids just want to do the fancy moves. So the commercial came later in his career and there was motivation behind it. I do what I do because I put the work in.
MJ was and is one of a kind this video and his philosophy is very inspiring and humbling a man and athlete always on a mission to and for victory that's what made and makes MJ the Goat and is what makes him memorably sensational and special in my own little opinion I agree there will never be another MJ.

Man he got the talent as well. I mean him and Kobe are literally the same but as Phil once said he gotta go with mj because of his hands. So hands down of course he had to work hard but I could work as hard as him without even getting in the nba.. so it’s always a mix of both.. balance. If one outworks the other you will lack. For example Shaq. If he had the same workethic like Kobe or even mj there would never ever be a goat conversation in the first place.
