Efoils are really it's own thing. On a windsurfer, snowboard, or Onewheel I'm a natural regular foot rider. At sixty-three years of age it took me around five hours before I could stand up on my Air Pro. I had to learn to ride my efoil goofy footed, I think it's because I have a controller in my right hand and for some reason my right foot is quicker than my left.
This was only a month ago so the process is still fresh in my mind.
It real is unlike anything else. We tell people previous watersports doesn't really help since it's all different body mechanics. What helps alot of people standing up is putting your controller in your front foot hand so your back foot hand is free to hold on to the handles while standing for 3 point of contact (handle, back knee, front foot)

It's all good #1 rule of being a youtuber "dont take comments personally". Its just unfortunate the efoil industry has such strong brand tribalism. If you sell a brand and talk your opinions about another brand your not "Unbiased" and a "corporate shill" that triggers people. Which is funny becuase I've never claimed to be unbiased I've always said "I sell fliteboard and these are my opinions as an efoiler with 800 hours logged and who works in the industry." Ultimately it just hampers our ability as creators to call out shortcomings of the broader efoil industry.
@@BayFoils I had noticed that. It really makes comparison shopping very difficult.
@@Mecknificent Very true always research the content creator to see what their experiences and brand loyalty is and take what they say with a grain of salt. Alot efoiling is personal preference base on your ride style and goals the best thing you can do is take a couple lessons and try each brand that is available in your area before making a purchase. Spending some money on lessons/demos can save you alot of heartache and buyers regret in the long run
