This was the tarantino of Boris interviews. Creative camera angle, interactive lighting with the crew, nothing banned, feels like you've just sat through a smoke amongst drunk world leaders

See I don’t mind brits being proud of the US or ashamed of our actions. Because I feel the same way about the UK 🤷‍♂️ however I think it should be reminded that when Britain needed help we were there and vice versa

    • @wsmu

Absolutely. The US will always be seen as a fraternal nation in the UK: we may have our differences (like whether a monarchy is a good idea...) but Britain will always have America's back and vice versa. And I, alongside millions of other Brits, absolutely adore your wonderful country.

He has some good points but people who have been brought up outside of America 🇺🇸 cannot understand what America really is and how we operate. It’s truly a blessing to be born here. Greatest country that ever existed.

I love what Boris says in the interview at that point. The US is its own thing, but the histories of Britain and America are intertwined, and us Brits really do feel an affinity for our American siblings and will always stand shoulder to shoulder with them (in a way that we wouldn't for many other nations). 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇲

We Americans in the trump era also resent and hate the bush presidency and the effect thereof. We would agree with the European critique of these ideas. However I would dare say the feelings would be different during the trump era. I felt very frustrated with the American ethos pre trump but I have never been more hopeful or proud of my countrymen as during the trump era. I wonder what Europe thinks now!

    • @Yimello

I can say as a European, that at no point has the US been more horrifying than during the Trump era. A truly dispicable time when facts were simply rejected in favour of blind bravado and patriotic bluster.

Except American cars have been built bigger and more spacious than say British or Euro cars for a very long time. Back in the 50s for example, when the US population had nothing like the obesity problem it does now.

I dunno. I like British humor. Especially the part where AMERICANS take ourselves too seriously right after he is talking about irony. 😂
