Good wangling Steve :) you nearly nailed it first time. You picked a very weedy peg. It's not a venue for novices, and it's very hard in winter. Your leader is a bit too long imo. You want to get your bait on the deck quickly, as the hybrids can a nuisance, so tape up that feeder, or use a window feeder. Oddly for a natural venue, bright groundbaits work best for me. Method and wafter are good if your bagging, but it's a worm venue. If your not bagging up in the first two hours, move to another bank.
Steve's Fishing Channel its a shame as its not been right for a good while now. Yes they always catch a few in the matches but there are plenty of blanks and a distinct lack of small fish.
@@riveranglertv2311 It's stuffed with small fish... Though not for long if FM don't sort out that huge flock of cormorants. The hoards of hybrids can be annoying. I've never blanked in the summer. As long as you fish it right and have a plan B, you'll bag up.

It can be when the fish decided to home in on your bait
Big head 0f zander and bream .... once you find fish 100lb is easy
Cheers guys
Can be a very tough nut to crack so happy to catch one on first trip
You're right, it's a moody venue. I had 80lb of slabs on my first visit... and 6oz from the same swim on my second visit, two weeks later.
I love it here! 💖💖 so does my dog (in my profile pic)
Great video btw 🌟🌟
any preference to line for shock leader and which knot do you use to join it. cheers, enjoyed the vid.
